yes! it does add to the lovely aesthetic to the game. Plus the wooden bowls were so cheap! Now to find some blueberries!

Thanks for bringing this up. Hopefully I can clarify the scoring. My scoring is usually based on the design of the game combined with its mechanics, theme, strategy, choices players have and overall game experience. Whilst my own personal experience and enjoyment does come into the game, I couldn't rate it higher due to just certain elements of the puzzle / game being too similar over lots of plays. I love love love the design of the game and think its one of Suchys best. I have enjoyed every minute playing it and still do, hence why its my new favourite game. However, when considering the other aspects of the game in terms of some of the replayability, tightness and similar pathways to victory, thats why its a 7.5. If it was solely based on fun factor, I definitely would rate it a lot higher. I hope that helps to clarify things a bit more!

@@shockwavemasta Yes. that's exactly how I score it. I have to look at the game factoring in its pros and cons and score it from a distance. I do think it has a few aspects to consider that people should be aware of, like the tightness and restrictiveness of resources, swingyness of the attic, and the contract fulfilling which might not be appealing for everyone. A higher score would kinda overlook those aspects. Personally I love love love the game. It has been an absolute favourite game to play solo and at 2 players. I do think that the contracts do get a bit stale over time cause its just fulfilling recipes, hence the balsa wood variant I mentioned that allows you do more creative 'woodcrafting'.

Thief's Market has a unique dice drafting mechanic that's actually the Last Diminisher fair division method in clever disguise. A better way to scale I Cut You Choose to 3p+ than the usual way IMO. It's pretty take that-y though, so on one hand it fits the theme and gives a stronger sense of direct interaction, but OTOH it might also deter "feel good multiplayer solitaire" carebears
