Pretty amazing ... and overwhelming. First impression ... this ship seems best suited for cruises that are heavy on sea days, like trans-Atlantic or Pacific itineraries.

That’s true, but the only time you be able to really enjoy it is when it’s in port and some passengers get off to explore the island or go for their excursion- I personally won’t get off anywhere until debarkation 😂- I would preferably explore the ship when people get off the ship to visit

Yes, but it’s to crowded with the slides and other play areas, building a bigger ship but then filling it up with theatres , play areas for kids and grownups then you end up back to been to crowded again, what’s the use in making the ships bigger

Jason's comment at about 16:00 made me think of my 1st trip to the Louvre! We walked and saw and experienced and even ate (although only once) for 6+ hours and still only saw less than 25%.... This ship can serve so many! But I suspect we will see some congestion points, service areas without support and what I will call 'we tried to do more and failed...' but will be fun to watch all the content creators discover it all!! Way to start it off y'all!

Great tour, as usual! I'm working on this, one American at a time, for roast beef: "au" means with and "jus" means juice or the broth that is made with the meat juices. So you can just say "jus" when you're referring to it. Rather than saying "with with juice" when people say "with au jus." It's pretty common in the US and we have people here saying "chai tea" which is really "tea tea" or "bao buns" which is bun buns. Anyhow, love it when you're excited about exploring a ship for everyone.

The parade at the end is very similar to the “Anchors Aweigh” parade they have on Day 2 and Day 7 on Oasis! A Very high quality (maybe not Disney, but definitely Vegas quality) fun 15 minute show!

Loved the the cabin y’all. On such a large ship I would’ve expected to have a dinky tiny cabin (like Carnival). Good size balcony, so I definitely will try the next ship….Star of the Seas. Guys next time tell us what class of cabin you’re in.

Hi guys, I am Donna from Richmond Virginia. I have only cruised on the Norwegian Bliss. My first cruise was to Alaska in 2019 in June and I’ve only done Alaska. I did do 16 day Panama Canal but I have fallen in love with Alaska and I’m gonna be taking my grandchildren that are 11 1213 on a cruise in the next year and I saw where you guys were on icon and how much fun it looks so I don’t know if you all have ever thought about it but could you all do a video from your clips of a family going with children Activities. Just so that people that are on a budget anything that is not included that is extra kind to give a rundown so people can be prepared for the extras. That would be absolutely awesome specially, when you have multiple grandchildren and if it’s not included, it would be nice to kind of have a heads up, but you guys do such an awesome awesome job with detail and I love that because I am into detail it makes a big difference Alisa thank you so much you do a wonderful wonderful wonderful job ! I pray I didn’t mess your name up too bad

Lol. Im a Mainer... I would never eat lobster on a cruise. Lolololol. Claws are the best, and ummmm, if I dont see it crawling around alive before it's cooked, I won't eat it. Im spoiled, I guess, but wow, what a buffet! That's for the cruise content folks and travel agents. I doubt the general publics food will be that nice!! That rounded bed and shower seat are amazing. I loved the cabin!

I love the cabin! We have a balcony for four on the icon in May. Our Teenage girls aged 17 and 19 going with us for a graduation trip. We booked it last Feb at a great price! Question, do you know what the bed situation is for a balcony room for 4? Does the couch have the pullout underneath like some of the other Royal Caribbean ships? I didn't see anything mentioning a pulldown berth so I'm just curious🥰

This ship is so massive and has 20 stories so everyone is spread all over he ship. Even on days at sea. I’ve sailed on multiple large ships from RC and never ever felt crowded.

@penningtonsm While I mostly agree with you and certainly encourage everyone to give cruising a try, the elevators, especially during transition times (dining, departing etc.), can be a real pain. Smashed together and stopping on every floor on the way up/down. May not be an issue with the Icon now, but I don't know that for sure.

People that have never sailed the Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships don't understand that the ship is so big that you never feel crowded. I have been on many Oasis sailings and you've never felt like you were crowded in elevator areas. However, if you watch other videos, you'll see that the elevator areas are huge on this ship. It sounds like it would be crowded with 7,000 people, but you rarely see a lot of people at the same time in the same area. If you've never been, you wouldn't get it.

@@shadow03clb I went on Wonder last year and there was never a place that didn’t feel crowded on board except the Solarium, but having children you can’t be in there. I wouldn’t make a comment about being crowded if I’ve never been on a big cruise ship. I like the size of the ship but it was crowded the week I went. Icon might be better but from what I’ve seen on video it doesn’t seem much better. I’ll just have to experience it myself.

I think the cabins have lots of storage, but I wish the shelves were in the closet, not baskets. Also, notice lots of usb ports that are ok if you want long, slow charging, most likely slow. They should give more regular plugs as we all carry chargers that use a charging brick. How are the towels stored in the shower a little damp?

I have never sailed on Royal Caribbean before but could there be an debate on if the cruise ships are getting to big. Is 7 day cruise enough time to sample / experience everything? You look like you are having fun so far exploring and I am looking forward to all the videos and your overall comments.

I think 7 is good. We spent 3 days on the preview and really got to know the ship. We are getting back on for 7 tomorrow.

Would love to hear your thoughts regarding whether these ships are getting to big. You both have been on so many cruises. I know what I look for in a cruise but have your reasons for picking a cruise differ now than when you first started and what makes you pick one now? Is it destination, cruise line, friends etc.
