I saw this vid about 2 years ago, when I was contemplating getting in touch with an agent who would book me for comedy gigs on ships. I am now booked for my first 2 contracts in Dec and Jan. I go back to this vid often to get myself excited about my new journey. Thanks for putting this out!

Hey David, really like your videos. I've always wondered what it was like to perform on a cruise ship. I played in a cover band for years and had friends who did multiple contracts on cruise ships, and heard their stories. But the videos and perspective that you provide is very insightful. Keep up the great work!

Which ship are you on? Looks like the exact same room I was in on the Equinox. Right at the end of the hall. I played in the jazz quartet on the equinox in 2014

How long do you work on one ship or cruise before you get a break? Do you go home for an extended period of time then back to the ship?

Do you bring your own drums? Or is there a standard kit on ship and you just bring your cymbals? Nice vids!

you dont need to bring your own drum set on board, just your cymbals.

The wage depends mainly on your experience, wages vary from 1800 up to 3000 $ per month.

You usually get paid every twoo weeks but it depends from the cruise line.
