2 жыл бұрынThis episode is a little different from my normal content, I take you along with me for a tour of a couple of young cruisers home on the water. Sarah and Jesse were anchored beside @svdelos in the Dry Tortugas. We shared a couple sundowners, bonded over our sailing experiences and they were kind enough to invite me over for a tour of their boat!

Wow. It's like going back in time! My grandparents owned a Tayana that had that exact same engraving. The translation they got (this was 30+ years ago, pre-internet) was pretty close. They heard it as "Smooth wind sail fast". Everything is so similar, from the color of the teak, the style of louvres, even the design of the railing to keep stuff from falling off the shelves. Thank you for posting this!

Tayana built nice boats, one of my favorites. I like the old world nautical look, William Garden designs, Ketch/Cutter Rigs, Vagabond 42 Westwind and Voyager 47, Formosa 51 / 56, I also like the Cheoy Lee 53 motor sailor... I lived on my 1982 Tayana 36 cutter when I was 26. Engine had 200 original hours and boat was like new when I bought it. Also spent time in Key West on her. Was a great bullet proof boat that really moved when the winds blew over 15

Great video. Thanks for the tour. There is an older Mariner 36 for sale near me for dirt cheap. Wishing I knew what I was doing when I look at a sailboat. Motor starts and runs smoothly. The only wood on the topside is the teak caps along the sides. No apparent water intrusion. The interior woodwork looks old and in need of refinishing but otherwise in good shape. Wish I had a sailor friend to tour the boat with me. I really want a voyaging boat to escape into retirement on.

There are certain people who have a pleasant sounding voice. Like Brian on Delos , Taylor, you too are blessed with such a voice. It may have to do with ,being secure in who you are in the world,IDK. But it definitely works. I enjoyed this one ,and looking for more from you. ( I also try to make comments to increase your traffic numbers)

This connecting to people and finding out about them.. their boat and lifestyle on the open seas is a kind of thing "tailored made" for you (intended) and might be a nice title for your lifestyle and maybe a series of episodes like this showing how they... like you, made dreams come true working with what possibilities there were to work with and made it all work out real nice even if a bit different than originally planned.
