Boat tour of my Hardin 45 ketch sailboat

Finally a video tour of my Hardin 45 cutter rigged ketch sailboat. She’s a centre cockpit boat that is 45’ long and just over 13’ at the beam.
Soon I’ll be sailing down to the Sea of Cortez and beyond.

You’re living my dream! I’m just about to move to Canada’s west coast, buy a boat and make the big left turn to the Sea of Cortez! I have a Island Packet 42’ lined up to check out and surveyed, with docking included, way up the river from Vancouver so it’s cheap, I’m looking at her when I arrive there in mid November! You have a wonderful vessel! I love it! Great job. Peace

Vancouver! I was just there and n the summer and went up the Sunshine Coast in a borrowed camper van. I’ll be heading to the sea of Cortez next week. Hope to be in La Paz by mid to late November. Hope to see you down there, the island packet is a great boat! My cousin use to have one.

Truly been enjoying living on Lost Pearl, she’s a fine live aboard with tons of storage. I so love sailing with all 4 sails up, looks beautiful.

Hello! Of course you can reach me here or on Instagram. Even just once a DM to exchange phone #s so we can text. My battery bank is located under the floor in the galley / dinning area. Though some have them in at the back of the engine bay which is higher up, but hotter. There is an episode where I install the batteries that might make it clearer.

Thank you so much! I really love living on her. Yes, this boat could certainly cross an ocean. I know of another hard and 45 that cross the Pacific. I may cross the Atlantic in a couple of years as I would love to get to Holland. It be nice to have some form of wind vane self steering for that and journey.

@@OnnoKok Excellent. I love your boat. I think is a great design for long passages. I know is listed in the blue water website but there is very little information and available boats in the market. You did great at securing one for yourself. If you ever need a hand in your repairs, 40 years of working on motorcycle, car, and airplanes.
