If you watch the slo-mo, I think the purple strap around the middle may have kept the upper blue part connected to the lower white part. You can see the starboard side separating from itself at 14:02, 14:03. The port side doesn't look to have done this though (13:51), so maybe it wouldn't have fully separated either way. It would have been funny to watch the top pop off though. :P

@An American doggo No way. I'd say more like 50 hours non-stop. The Earth has a radius of 63'000 km. A car driving at 80 km/h (small highway speed) will do that distance in 790 hours, or a bit over a month. It would also take 52 days by walking, so if we assume it takes 6 days from Washington to Florida, that means the radius of Earth only 8.75 times Washington-Florida. Sorry I like maths

you would be suprised.. Pianos are one of those things that are almost easy to find for free because people move and dont want to bother moving the piano. Here in the US especially most moving companies wont touch a piano without a huge increase in cost and signing off liability in case of damage.

Perhaps drop something much smaller (so it doesn't hit the steel) and heavier like a 500kg (or even heavier) block of ice or atlas stone Also, 20 bowling balls worked so well, so consider doing 5 atlas stones or something really ridiculous like that
