Saxdor 400GTO TEST - Could the 350Hp V10 be fine for most people?

I think this is more than just an Adventure Boat now and we need to think of a new category name for it. The Saxdor 400GTO has all the hull characteristics of a fast and efficient twin stepped hull. But this new design with the roof, drop down sides and an interior layout that will transform to suit so multiple requirements is truly ahead of it's time in my opinion.
Once again Sakari (Head Designer) has created a boat that both looks cool, performs great but is also priced very competitive and performs more like your own 'Private Island' instead of just a boat to take you places.
I was imagining myself spending a whole summer living onboard this boat in Sydney which is not a dream I have ever had for an Adventure Boat. That's the difference to this design - it is going to welcome a lot more people into this category because they will look at the 400GTO and realise how well they can fit it into their own Boat Life.
Is it perfect - No. I'm yet to find a perfect boat and I found a bunch of small improvements that I think Saxdor would benefit from implementing. Are they things that would stop me from taking a bet on this boat - No.
I think this will win Boat of the Year for it's category in 2025 because when you consider price, performance and layout it's going to be hard to beat. I've filmed extra content on my Patreon to specifically help you guys who are trying to evaluate this boat vs the competition - / dansboatlife

Hello, this is the first cruising video for this boat. Perfect. What is the range of this boat with slow cruise ? Can it cross Gibraltar strait in the midditeranean ?

I'm in the market for this style of boat. As I mentioned in his walk around video, my only issue is that the prices here in South Florida don't match any of the videos I've found their in every case over 100k to 200k over what the MSRP is and I'm not paying that for this boat and they didn't pay that much in shipping...#scumbags I'd pay a little over MSRP or buy it overseas and ship it myself....but I'm not going over there to buy a day boat...frustrating really.

Clide, I know the reason for this markup by American dealers. It is greed and artificially inflating the price of the boats. That is why they also don’t allow the prices to be listed on the web. I saw one dealer multiplying GBP by 1.7 instead of the market rate of $1.27 to get to American dollars price. Is there a way we can communicate more? I am in South FL too

I'm seriously considering a boat in this class but im really interested to see how it would perform as an occasional economical trawler replacement for longer island hopping trips up the west/north coast of Scotland and Ireland . Really struggling for find lph figures at lower speeds 6-8 and how it handles off the plane pushing water . Im looking for a day/weekend boat but to do so would be giving up my mainship 430 trawler

Compare the slow speed performance of this, the Quarken 35, Nimbus C11 and others I test and this should help you. After about 10kts speed most of these boats are better to just get up on plane.
