CRAB BOIL RECIPE:
Split and clean crabs-
1lb potatoes (about 2" chunks - either get the baby reds or cut larger ones in 1/2 or 1/4s)
3-4 cobs of corn cut down to 3" pieces
2 lemons - cut and squeezed into pot
1/2 a large yellow onion - chopped into 1-2" chunks
1 bulb garlic - cut the top and bottom off and peel the cloves, throw in whole.
1/4 cup of your favorite seaonsing - Old Bay or something similar
2 lbs sliced andouille sausage
1 stick butter
Get the water boiling and add the butter, garlic, potatoes, corn, lemons (squeeze and toss in) and onions. Let simmer til the potato start to soften a bit.
Add the crab, andouille, and seasoning.
Crabs should take about 7-10 minutes. They'll turn from dingey looking to bright orange/red.
