Both of Ozzys greatest solo albums all lyrics were written by Bob Daisley and half the music. He does not get anywhere near the recognition he deserves.

The GREATEST RESPECT , I can’t emphasize that enough for Mr Daisley. There needs to be a stronger word. His masterful world class work with Randy and Lee changed my life at 15 years old in 1982 to today at age 55 and until I leave this earth. My God, I still am so saddened by Randy’s death 40 years later. 🙏🏼 the impact those two albums had on me. Mad Mad Mad respect sir..🙏🏼

I felt the same way my friend .I was 15 two about to turn 16 when I saw Ozzy with Randy Sep 12th I believe it was at the Curtis Hixon Hall in Tampa Florida .was a really small venue about like a high school auditorium holding like 1.500 to 2000 people tops with a very young Def Leppard opening up for them .I couldn't take my eyes off Randy the whole set .Ozzy jumping up and down clapping his hands the whole time flashing the two fingers peace sign as he always did but yeah I was on the floor all the way in the front up against the railing of the stage on the right side not 10 feet in front of Randy .I already had the Blizzard record and loved the music so we drove the 90 miles from my house in Orlando to Tampa early that day to make sure we got tickets before they sold out .can say enough about Randy's playing and his unbelievable stage presence .It was mesmerizing .also can't tell you how good Def Leppard was that night .they had just dropped their second album High And Dry after their debut One Through The Night .Joe Perry was the oldest member at 21 or 22 and all the other were 18 or younger .think Pete Way was 18 or 19 Rick Allen the drummer had just turned 17 years old .very young but played like a tight seasoned band .

I was 21 and heard Crazy train and loved Ozzy with Black Sabbath and Toni Iommi as a guitarists myself, but RR's took it to another level along with EVH. They just broke the mold. Great interview. One thing Ozzy haters don't realize is Sharon may have taken the spotlight off Bob and taken a lot away from him but it was Ozzy's band and her job was to get him back on top after his departure from Sabbath. It is sad the way the industry eats people and spits them out. No one suffered from this more than Jimi Hendrix. Bob's case is nothing new as Bon Scot said "It's a long way to the top"

In a perfect world, the best way for Ozzy Osbourne to end his solo career would be Jake E Lee on guitar, Bob Daisley on bass guitar, Tommy Aldridge on drums, and Don Airey on keyboards. One last amazing studio album with Max Norman producing, and one last final tour. That would be the perfect way for Ozzy to end his solo career on a high note. It will never happen though.

I saw Ozzy on “Bark at the Moon” tour too. It was spring of ‘84, so Accept was opening by that time. They were Accept. The show was in Rockford Illinois & my dad drove and friend and me there. I was in 8th-grade & remember that the show was sparsely attended, which shocked me, because Ozzy was the biggest star in the world to me … still is. ☮️

E.L.O. was bigtime in the mid to late 70's. I had numerous albums and 45's of theirs that I literally wore out playing on my little beat-up portable record player. Once my folks split up and I acquired their old stereo system, I really thought I was cool. Bob Daisley was one of those big name musicians back then who'd played with everybody.

Bob wrote all the lyrics on most of Ozzy's albums. BATM, DOAM, etc. Jake wrote most/ all the music. Ozzy came up with song titles and melody, yet took credit for writing all the music and lyrics. There's a few interviews on KZfaq with Jake talking about that. Bob is a great lyricist.

It's not a defense of Sharon but every blizzard of Oz and Diary of a madman (CD or album) always had credit from Bob daisley and Lee Kerslake. It didn't say who wrote the lyrics and who wrote the music but they were given credit.

Just look for Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a madman house. It's very old and dates back to the 16th century. It became a well known recording studio, at present it is a holiday let run by friends.

At that time I lived in the Soviet Union, and rock and roll was forbidden to listen to. But in 1988, the Soviet Union began to collapse and rock and roll became more accessible. Information about rock music was brought by sailors from Japan, Musical Life magazine. I knew a lot of bands in 1987 and 1988 and KISS and Rainbow and Black Sabbath and Motley Crue and the Beatles and Led Zeppeln, Urai Hееp, Bon Jovi and Cinderella. I remember around 1990 I saw an Ozzy Osbourne video on TV where a polka dot guitar was flying over a railroad. it was a cool song and one of the first rock music videos. But I didn’t know that it was Randy Rhoads’ guitar, although I knew that Ozzy had a guitarist who died in a plane crash. But I didn't know his name. I was young, I was 15 years old, I knew many guitarists and vocalists, but most likely I didn’t know Randy Rhoаds then. Now that I have learned this story of Randy Rhoаds' life in more detail, I am amazed by his talent, his hard work and his music. I only learned in 2020 that it was Randy Rhoаds who founded the group Quiet Riot, although I learned about this group in 2010 when I saw the DIO Stars video. There I liked the voice of vocalist Kuvin Dubrow. And I found out that he was from the group Quiet Riot. And this turns out to be the guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne who founded Quiet Riot and took Kevin Dubrow into this group. Very interesting information in this video. Thanks to Bob Daisley. I remember when Eric Singer came to KISS in 1992 after the death of Eric Carr in November 1991. Randy Rhodes is in our hearts forever!!!!

Eddie VH told the story of Randy coming backstage at the Whiskey and asking how he kept that ratty Strat copy in tune after beating the stock Fender tremelo to death....Eddie said I don't know....he did know, but kinda a secret he didn't want to reveal. If you look at all of the old backstage pics, you'll see a can of 3 in 1 oil next to his Fender practice/tune amp..always!! He and Rudy figured the key was almost zero pressure on the neck nut, and lots of oil, to keep the strings moving and not binding.....wind the strings high on the peg, and good things happen....but it was his ear to use the sonic effect...Randy had none of that....... Randy did some hot stuff, like SATO......but were he here, he'd say VH1 was a masterpiece...(thanks to Ted Templeman and Don Landee...) Listen to the drivel Gene Simmons did with the recording in NYC....it is freaking aweful!!

Randy told Rudy or someone , can't remember the interview , Randy said he was in line at the record store in LA and was buying some classical music records and at the front of the line was Eddie Van Halen buying both Blizzard and Diary albums .. EVH always treated the rival guitarist like shit , especially the ones he thought were talented , he used to say some mean things of Elliot Easton too . EVH never wanted to meet Yngvie even if they were in same area and Yngvie wanted to meet as he was a fan of Eddie's . EVH was a legendary guitarist but was one miserable sob in his earlier years . Alot of people say he mellowed out in his later life....past Sammy days of course.
