This is a little video I created using archival footage of Dylan's 1966 tour filmed by D.A. Pennebaker. There is also a little snippet of him in 1965 sitting in a chair for his screen test at Andy Warhol's factory. See if you can spot John Lennon; I put him in here in honor or The White Album's 50th anniversary.
This song is one of Bob's lost gems. It's a shame it was never officially released. It was recorded at the North British Station Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland. It has a very catchy blues melody that would've been appropriate for Blonde On Blonde. This is the only known recording of the piece, and the only unabridged version on the internet. Enjoy this gem while you can!

actually i think it was mutual. But It was the Beatles that made him grow his hair long and electrify his music. so on balance I'd say that the Beatles had more of an effect on him then he had on them. And he knows it

@@BoutYoungAnnaLee perhaps he was. but he just flips things out he doesn't mean since day one. maybe half is true is one estimate. bob's in his own world. greatest songwriter. so what does he care? goes along with the mystique. remember when he arrived on the scene? he worked in a carnival. he ran away from home. no, i never trust dylan in the sincerity department.

For those who don't know, Stephen Malkmus from Pavement covered this song for the "I'm Not There" movie soundtrack and it sounds pretty much like this. He did the song some justice by putting it out there with an official version. I recommend checking it out and the movie aswell, it's a pretty good watch for any Dylan fan.

@Official_KC
@Official_KC 4 жыл бұрын
He was playing with the low E dropped to a C in most of the 66 acoustic tour. So it was up to Robbie to just match it in standard without a capo. But those solo performances were mostly dropped C and a C shape. So I think he just did that most of the time he practiced or wrote some

What tuning, the chord shapes and the little alternate shapes within the song. It's really an incredible website. Also great inspiration to write new songs. Most Dylan fans that are songwriters sing it's praise all day. You can download the whole site in a zip file for offline use too. Also has the Beatles solo work and a lot of their work together. Yes of course . . .:) . . .this is Americas poet laureate , putting that phenominal flow of words , portraying modern America into music , if he has to capo the 7th fret in G in order to do that, it just goes to show how far up shit creek modern America is . .

"It is a Fender King (renamed "Kingman" in late 1966), and it belongs to a series of acoustic guitars that Fender put out from 1963 and onward, based on the design of their electric guitars. Apparently, they did not catch on, partly because the "electric" look was not what the acoustic people were after, partly because they did not sound too good. The series was discontinued in 1971."

"partly because they did not sound too good"=very, very much wrong. I remember playing that model (it must have been in1990, during my trip to Germany), and the guitar produced a SUPERB sound, comparable to that of Gibson's jumbo models (which Dylan, too, was quite fond of, by the way). The action was very low thus making the guitar unbelievably playable. Here's a link to the review: is.gd/6fgDpq and take a look at this gem: is.gd/iPuVsI

this is nuts. Dylan and Robertson each seem a million miles from how we picture them looking and living one year later during the Basement Tapes period. the song itself is good - but idk if it would fit well with the Blonde on Blonde cuts. Certainly doesn't sound like something they'd have dreamed up in Big Pink, even though they did loads of this same sort of acoustic collaboration during 1967 before cutting stuff in the basement. It's just...kind of there. An orphan like Tell Me Momma. Both worth keeping around.
