And better in a lot of ways! Instrumental hits these days? There was a decade-by-decade statistic i saw a while ago that showed the dramatic decline of instrumentals becoming hits through the years. They barely exist now! But the '80s were bliss with mellow jazz coming on the scene! The '70s and '80s were the best...All sorts of music coming out that was amazing, But seeing Jazz and Country become "Pop" in the '80s was very cool!
