Bob Lilly was so good that he didn't have to be mean to be great.

Bob Lilly was a bear-cat. He had the torso like that of a grizzly bear. And legs like those of a Bengal Tiger.

I would never want to have Bob Lilly mad at me and then try and run the ball on him. He was just one of them big strong as hell Texas country boys.

He started out with a annual salary of $11,500 dollars. Before taxes!

I've been watching the NFL even before the Cowboys began as a brand new franchise in 1960, and I watched virtually every play in Lilly's career. I've never seen him when he wasn't going all out, on every play, giving the max. I've never saw him ease up and stop clawing and looking to find the ball carrier. Even after the Cowboys finally won their very first World Championship in 1971, he played full throttle on every play, giving 100 percent, even though his body and especially his legs were injured and aching by years of punishment from opposing linemen.... most of the time double and even triple-teamed. Actually, I shouldn't have even replied to your totally stupid comment.... troll.
