Baydzone actually, Bob did see his show take off. If it never took off, it wouldn’t have produced 31 seasons. It’s definitely nowhere near as famous as he is today, but still pretty well known.

hard to belive he spent 20 years in the air force became a master Sergeant and was the one who would scream and yell at those lower than him. but once he left he vowed he would never raise his voice again.

Bob often said in his shows stuff like, "We only have 30 minutes on this show, and if I go over 30 minutes the director starts yelling and screaming at me." How in the actuall hell could anyone ever yell at Bob? TRY to yell at Bob, you can't.

Sometimes when I watch Bob in the early stages of a painting, I think to myself "What the hell is he doing, this looks hideous!" But as always, in the end, it turns out beautifully.

I posted this elsewhere but I met Bob when I worked at a seafood restaurant, Blackbeard's in New Smyrna Beach, FL, circa 1992. He was with two other people for the early bird specials. He was just wonderful.

This is one of my faves! Love how he used the stat as the outline. B-E-A-UTIFUL!! Can't wait to get my Bob Ross Master Paint set next week with the palette and easel!! I'm ready to try this! As much as I love Bob Ross, it still cracks me up that he encourages people not to make money on paintings but made millions on teaching it! LOL

he's pretty much just a landscape artist. I've never seen him do any sort of cityscape or anything like that save from an occasional cabin or two in his landscape paintings. :)

If you Google it, some guy did a statistical analysis of all his paintings (I know) and it lets you know all the different things he portrayed

He painted nyc park once, in his earlier seasons, because he went on a painting tour there. Just look up bob ross new york. It actually looked quiet good.

I'm a proud lifelong New Jersey resident. I am surprised that Bob painted the shape of Florida, but it would have been interesting if he used the shape of New Jersey. Although I don't know if Bob knew much about my State.
