@@matthewdagnan3396The Hall has been a joke as long as I can remember. It’s a wonderful award, and anyone who makes it should be honored, but anyone who doesn’t shouldn’t care. The Hall is known for being self-absorbed and even downright nonsensical with their choices. It took them until the late 80’s, 5 years post creation, to induct the Beatles! I mean, c’mon that’s the easiest choice ever!

Can one truly pick a favorite, is there any one song that was not a masterpiece in it's own right. I have no clue why it took so many years to induct him however it seems the fans knew decades ago what an incredible artist he is, He is in fact in a class of his own, one top drawer artist ..

Very well said. I totally agree with you. Bob has always been 1 of my Dad's favorite singers ever & my Dad turned me into a huge fan of Bob's too. Though I have to admit that the biggest fan of Babs in my family was my older sister, Kelly. All my Mom ever had to do was just start singing the rhythms of his Good Old Rock & Roll Song & my sister would just go wild. She would start shaking her rattles, tapping her hands to the rhythm of the music & the sound of Bob's voice, etc... It was such a sight to see. She loved music of all kinds, but, Bob was her favorite & that was her song of all songs too. Sadly, she died last Sept. She was the 3 of the 5 of us & my Mom is finally handling it a lot better in the last few months. But, before that, not very well at all. For her, she is very emotionally strong but, she couldn't handle hearing about it, talking about it, etc... & as hard as it was for everybody, I held onto this. My sister had a heart attack, stroke, a blood clot that collapsed at the back of her brain, born with an enlarged heart, her heart valves were connected backward, had double mastoids, severe allergic reaction to her baby needles, etc.... all before her 2nd birthday. At 22 months old, they gave her 6 months to live, which meant she should've died in April 1974. But, my sister beat the odds. She died exactly 6 weeks before what would've been her 49th birthday. When she was a kid, Drs said that once her heart cant enlarge any more & runs out of room it will cause her to have a heart attack & die of a pneumonia-like state where her heart, lungs, etc... all filled with fluid. Therefore, had she died years ago, the 2 oldest kids would have been 7 & 3. Which leaves the younger brother & me & all of my Mom's grandkids who would have all been born after her death. That's when I reminded everybody of that exact statement & said, as sad as we are. How can we ever be disappointed in her being gone, when most of us should've never met her or known her at all; & the oldest 2 would've barely known her. She way outlived what she was given & she wore her name well. My sister was Kelly. Her name meant WARRIOR. And that she was. A warrior coming into this world, a warrior all of the years that she was here outweighing the odds & she left here a warrior too. Even through all that, my sister had a permanent smile & glow to both her face & eyes at all times. Never have I ever saw someone tougher than nails & more than she was. She couldn't walk, could say a few words or phrases (whenever she chose to), & needed 24-7 care like taking care of an adult infant. Yet, she still gave us a smile like no other. Could make us laugh like no other. Even got us all going like no other. She was a happy-go-lucky kind of person regardless of what her state of health was. She was a 1 of a kind. :)

It was like everyone was part of the band and I've never experienced anything like it since. It is rock and roll I will never forget. Seger and Silver Bullet represent "the pride of the fleet" in Michigan rock and roll. He is the best entertainer I've ever seen, bar none.

Seger, Frey, KRock Detroit R and R Royalty. Bob was inducted as solo artist, gave props to his band but why no band members on the stage with him. Great musician, speech was short and sweet no philosophizing, very humble and down to earth guy. Congrats!

My two older sisters got to see him in a bar just north of Ann Arbor when he started out. Think on that, they still remember this bar band after 40-50 yrs later.

Bob Seger is the greatest rocker of all time. Mass talent, that sexy whiskey voice & rugged sex appeal made Bob a rock -n-roll legend! Oh, how I wanted to have his baby, lol. 🎸 Thanks for the music, Bob! This has been a long time comin'... Too long 🎸 🎷

Wow! Bob Seger .... I know of course his music. But he as person, what a outstanding personality. I have not many times seen so a humble and nice and sympathetic musician as Bob Seger. He increased at this moment his profile to me. - - - - - - - - I am shouting many times against the USA, against their double standards and the stupidity of many of them. But then comes a Bob Seger who shows me that there exist other Americans. It gives me hope that the American people are not so rotten as it seems to be. - - - - - - - - I wish Bob Seger all the best, and a very good health!

This incredible musician/songwriter has made an impact with his music on so many people, yet, he still has the gratefulness and humility of a novice recording his/her first album! Bob Seger set the bar so high with his heartfelt lyrics and dramatic, and pulsating instrumentation, that it’s hard to imagine anyone deserving this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction more. The man is a True American Legend, and America owes him a serious debt of gratitude for his enduring artistry, and his great contribution to the cultural fabric of our country. God blessed Bob Seger, and Bob Seger blessed America, and the world with his talent.

What a rock legend! I grew up in Detroit and loved his music. My father knew Bob and used to book him for sock hops at Kiwanis High School before he made BIG. But he was still big. My father was a Detroit radio star. He was in the studio with Bob and Punch Andrew’s (bob’s mgr) when they were putting together the “live Bullet” album that went platinum. He remembers talking to Bob about all the rockers that got into Drugs… and Bob talked about his daughter and how he would never think about being a bad example to her etc. Amazing, real guy. Stud! My father also knew and booked shows with the likes of Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent…. Two other great Detroit talents. They were straight laced guys as well… according to dad. Alice was super nice, down to earth like Bob. Bobs music has grown in me even more over the years. Loved it then. Really love it now. It’s pure Gold. What a talent!
