This Bobble Stitch Knit in Stockinette creates a fun little pop of 3-dimensional texture for any knitting project.

To easily make this 4 stitch bobble, we will increase one stitch into four stitches, knit them in the Stockinette pattern, then use two decrease methods to get back down the original stitch.

AT LAST!! I didn't realise how easy it is to do bobble stitches till you showed here. I've seen jumpers with bobble stitch scattered up around shoulders. Thankyou for showing! 💜🧶🧶💜

This video is great! I have a project that calls for me to cast on 240+ sts for the bobble and I tried making them on circular needles but the yarn gets twisted when I turn. Do you have any suggestions?

Is it possible to alternate the bubbles so that they will appear on both sides of the scarf? For mittens or a sweater, sure, the raised surface should only appear on one surface. But for a scarf, which will display both surfaces as you wear it, having bubbles on both sides would be nice to have. 😉

Fun idea. The wrong side of the bobbles would show... so I would actually knit it on one side, then fold it lengthwise to make a double-sided scarf with bobbles on each side. Cozy that way, too!

@@studioknit good idea. Double wide, then fold in half. Hmmm, had better use lightweight yarn or it will become too bulky. 💡
