Exactly what I was looking for short and to the point. I only got to about row 9 before I caught on to the pattern. This made a great basketweave for me. I used 24 stitches. Not sure what everyone is up in stitches about, your instructions are clear, simple and to the point. Do the pattern on the front, then merely knit the knits and purl the purls on the backside. Ez pz. It’s just an offset in the pattern every for rows with two rows of stockinette between. Thanks for sparing me on how to cast on. I specifically came to here because it was literally the shortest howto.

I’ve knitted the rows from 2-6 and I’ve done garter stitch and on Row 7 for bubble pattern, I simply knit 3 and K4B which is Knit 4 below so I used the garter ones and drop the 4 ladders. Then I’m going to insert the loop and wrap the yarn around the needle and pull it through. It doesn’t matter if it’s garter or stockinette if your purling or knitting stitches.

Hello Kristen, just so excited to tell you how beautiful the Hurdle stitch looks on a couch throw I am knitting for my great niece looks. I purchased your Knit Stitch book some years ago and often get ideas from it, this one surpasses my expectations… with a 4 row repeat it takes the monotony out of stockinette over a large project. The yarn weight used is Aran in a really loud pink and needle size for me is 5.5mm as I knit up too tight on a 5… I had got bored with knitting larger projects and just wanted to tell you how useful I find your book and the help it provides in helping me find some great ideas for couch throws…❤🎉👍👏

So if I'm understanding correctly, I knit one stitch, purl one stitch, knit one stitch and just keep going on and on and on? Also, each row starts and ends with K1?

I have made the leaves. They do curl up. I ironed them, then I starched and ironed them. Then I did it again. They still curl. Can this pattern be done with the knitting stitch throughout? The curling is ruining the artistic look for my design.

Love the pattern and the tutorial is very easy to follow, but I'm so confused why it's not looking the same :( Ive done about 24 rows after the setup rows and the cable is going in a continuous S pattern instead of the flowy pattern you've shown in the photos. What am I doing wrong? 😭

My grandmother knitted my dad's cricket jumper when he was in the British army (late 60s- late 80s). She used this pattern for the hem and cuffs. The jumper fits me now ❤ Thanks for teaching me something connected to her, she passed away aged 100+

Ok so I'm knitting on circular needles plain knit bt it looks like rib is there a way to make it look plain knitting as apposed to rib please hope ths makes sense
