He was speaking truth. Isolation, paranoid schizophrenia and a lot of time by yourself can be devastating. There’s an underlying hint of truth to everything is he saying. No, not really. First of all, no one is "trademarking" Bobby Fischer's name. They are only using it in the title of a publication (book and movie). Because Tiger Woods is a public figure, I am free to publish anything with his name in the title without his permission. If the contents are libelous, or make false claims regarding him, then of course he has good grounds to sue me. But I can write a screenplay called "Searching for Tiger Woods" about a golf prodigy who idolized Woods, no problem. Now, what about "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess"? I don't know what kind of contract Fischer signed at the time of publication, but I do know that being an author does not automatically confer any rights to the content. For example: remember how Michael Jackson bought the enormously valuable rights to all the music the Beatles wrote? The publishing company, and not the Beatles, owned those rights. An author can enter into a contract in which he gives up all rights to the product as part of the publication deal. Like it or not, it is common and it is legal. If Fischer (or Woods) published an instructional book and _also_ secured all publishing rights to it, then yes, they own it. If in fact this happened with Fischer, he would have grounds to sue. Because he hasn't, or at least hasn't been successful, then I think it's likely the law is not on his side, and he does not actually own the rights to that book.

In my honest opinion, Fischer was tired of knowing the truth, knowing the double standards. He was pure and real, which is the mark of a great man! For the most part not seeing positive changes that he envisioned. A lot of what Bobby Fischer was saying was true! In the first 10 minutes of this link. Especially about the good Jews vs the bad Jews and people not standing up vs what is wrong. Also about big companies and their intellectual property rights, corporate copyrights etc and their use of power. They do manipulate the fabrics to achieve what they want. We can see that now in 2021, in many areas. Fischer did anything and all he was able to struggle to be world chess champion. He read 2000+ books on chess and hundreds of magazines. He sacrificed his life to the game and as he mentioned, he was 100% tied to chess. Very sad, he never had any relationship with his father and all the loneliness he experienced in his life. He payed the ultimate sacrifice, only he knows if it was worth it. Also very sad he never defended his title, vs Anatoly Karpov in the 1970's after he defeated Boris Spassky. His legacy will live for a long time, a true legend and genius. Kasparov explained it well, " I think there was too much on his shoulders, too much pressure." Bobby Fischer proclaimed, " Before I became world champion, the world did not look at the United States as a intellectual nation."

@jay fine So what? Are you under the impression that it is impossible to criticize or find fault within your own group? He was too advanced for such tribalism. He unabashedly said out loud what he believed was the truth and had the courage of his convictions. Also, Bobby Fischer was not HALF Jewish. He was FULL Jewish. Everyone knew that his mother, Regina Fischer, was a Polish Jew. But in 2002, Peter Nicholas and Clea Benson of The Philadelphia Inquirer published an investigative report backed by detailed and compelling evidence that indicated that Bobby Fischer's biological father was actually Paul Nemenyi, a Hungarian mathematician and physicist of Jewish heritage, was considered an expert in fluid and applied mechanics. Benson and Nicholas continued their work and gathered additional evidence in court records, personal interviews, and even a summary of the FBI investigation written by J. Edgar Hoover, which confirmed their earlier conclusions.

He and Goebbels even gave an order, after the Krystal Nacht events, that no jew is to be harassed by his soldiers under penalty of martial law. The ones he did round up and put into WORK camps, were all parts of Antifa (yes, same group as today), or communist cells, who were running around the country planting bombs or assassinating people in broad daylight. Later on Hitler planned on moving the jews to Madagascar, under the Havara agreement. He also allowed the old ones, 65 years old and older, to remain in Germany if they wanted.

Its hard to overstate how smart he was because he did say some foolhardy things. Haters use the minutest of details they see as wrong to use against the one they hate- in other words because he is flawed (which we ALL are) a hater will look to his flaws as “evidence” that is insane or a jerk or stupid or not the best chess player. All of that is wrong! He retired too early in chess but that shouldn’t exclude him from any top 5 chess players of all time lists! I enjoy his opinions on chess and chess players because i agree with his truth- that chess attracts certain type of people (like combat sports or any 1vs1 competition) that are petty, jealous, and conniving. He said chess lacks creativity and that its too pre-determined and Hikaru agrees with this and so does Magnus because they both understand that when 2 of the highest skilled players face each other the best they can hope to achieve is a draw! What makes Fischer unique is that he always went for the knockout/divisive victory and NOT the draw! He always sought to have entertaining matches as well because he often gave himself more than 1 path to victory in his games! He was a genius!

@1:07:50 he goes into greater depth on “prearrangement” and claims that the first Karpov vs Kasparov match was completely prearranged. Is he saying he thinks the whole match was fixed? Or is he simply saying that opening lines are so carefully studied, that the game is just boring.

When i think about all he is saying it makes sense. But I have one question: Why was the kasparov-karpov match prearrenged? What's bad about it being prearrenged?
@True_Christian4 жыл бұрын
By "prearranged," he means the games are fixed, like a WWE wrestling match. In other words, he's accusing all the players and/or organizers of committing fraud. Clearly it's a delusional comment on Fischer's part.

@@True_Christian Ok, but lets say they were fixed. WHY were they fixed?

@@True_Christian No you are wrong what he is saying is they knew what to do for ever move he made. No creativity. Stop speaking on things you know nothing about.
@stephenpatrylak40084 жыл бұрын
@@scottwarren4998 It's like how the Patriots studied practice films of their opponents. The Soviets trained to respond to every move Bobby Fischer would make or could make. Hence why he said there was no creativity. true christian is wrong read what he said about Bobby he has no clue what he is talking about. And anyone with a name like that is very pompous.

I’m no authority figure on the matter, so this is just my two cents. To me it sounds like he was saying that professional level matches were prearranged in the sense that the outcomes were rigged, which doesn’t strike me as unrealistic. For the people saying he should have known earlier on then, I don’t agree. People are duped all the time. There is no “Pinocchio effect” to spot liars. You probably believe in many things that aren’t true right now, it’s just nobody connected the dots for you. As for the motive, it’s probably similar to how pro-sports are considered rigged by some people. If you don’t know who’s the fall-guy at the poker table, it’s probably you...
