Never gets old ! I was just a small kid in 65 and loved it then. Still loving it to this day 58 years later.

Bobby Vee was one of the best singers of the 20th century

When I was a kid, 45s cost 98 cents - a chunk of money for me then. Still, I saved and bought Bobby's "Take good care of my baby." I played the grooves off of it. Needless to say, Bobby Lee is one of my all-time, lifetime favorites.

My wife's favourite singer,took her to see him for her 40th in manchester,he walked on stage she said that's not Bobby vee,very small and very bald,she thought he would look the same as he did in the 60s,but what a fantastic voice singing live

Bobby Vee died today, and it is starting to get to me. Been a lot of years, memories. You realize how much time has passed. Good guy. Some great songs that send you back to that time. It was a different world then, of course. Not everyone just "hanging out"...staring at their cell phone. There were real relationships back then. Long-distance phone calls. Love letters. Knowing when someone left, or moved, you might never see them again, talk to them again. Feelings...real friends. Paul / Texas

He began to come to National attention in February 1958 as he finished The Winter Tour after the tragedy that took Buddy Holly,Richie Valens and The Big Bopper. One of Vee,s band members was an unknown guitarist named Robert Zimmerman who would go on to become Bob Dylan.R.I.P Bobby Vee gone to soon at 73...

Robert Zimmerman played the piano, not the guitar and it was 1959 not 1958-how do people come up with this crap.

look at Bobby's collection--this is really his best song even though it didn't reach as high on the charts as some other songs--many time an artist's best songs aren't his or hers most popular

I was stationed in West Germany in 1965, so I have no idea what that show was called, but the dancing to "Sharing You" just didn't fit the ballad. Bobby had a great run back in the day and is still one of my favorite singers from that era. He's gone, but his music lives on. Those of us a certain age who remember listening to Bobby on AM radio and dancing to his music will also be gone one of these days.

I never noticed him sounding somewhat like GENE PITNEY until now, at certain spots in phrases. VEE outlived PITNEY by about ten years. "Love you more than I can say" is one of my favorites by BOBBY VEE.🎉🙂

Bobby vee was truly great he had a lot of good singers back then people like Bobby Darin of course Buddy Holly died in 59 The Beach boys but Bobby vee really was special I remember when the Beatles came along everybody's been crazy over and they were a bunch of losers druggies godless they said they were more popular than Jesus Christ and supposedly John Lennon on the top of some form of motel pissed on some nuns well he finally got his come up and too bad and he was always an idiot seems like a lot of musicians of that time. That came after the 60s or idiots specially between 64 and 73 but there are still some great people Bobby vee was one of these

no offence, but were there any 50's/60's artists who never lip synced their 45's during "live" performances?
@vickonoreign37435 жыл бұрын
It was a part of the show. The main goal was to make it beautiful and gather audiences at both TV and live entrance. But a vast majority of them also starred on shows where they'd sing live. It was the bands mostly, pre-Beatles era pop music was all about shows with backgrounds and lipsync.
