Mr. Womack will go down in history for his distinct, strong, soulful, masculine, sweet voice. I remember the first time I heard that it was on the Jason's Lyrics soundtrack performed by K.C. of the group Jodeci. As I got more into that song one of guys in my neighborhood told me it was an old song and that Bobby Womack performed it. And I haven't stopped listening to Bobby Womack since.

@@janesmith7346 Most of em have passed. Harry Womack died in 1974. Cecil, the kid brother, passed in 2013. Bobby followed him in 2014, Curtis Womack died in 2017. Only their eldest brother Friendly is alive AFAIK.

I could remember my husband left for a week cause of my mouth and I play this song and I could remember crying in bed all night like a baby, I was a mess back then !!!
