Luke Combs is fresh off of his SNL debut. He talks about finding out he was the musical guest just a week and a half out. Luke tells the story of the guy at a record label who told him he needed to go back and write better songs after meeting him. Luke then turns all the songs he played for him that day into No. 1. He also talks about why he is vegan for the next 3 months, his 7 No. 1 songs and why he was hiding cash around his house.

I met Luke Combs at a pizza bar in Key West last spring. One hell of a nice and down to earth guy just standing there talking until our food was ready. Definitely sold me as a big fan after that

I fell in love with the voice of Luke combs the very first time I ever heard his deep husky sexy voice and I cannot wait until I get to see him in concert! I've seen him perform on Circle tv at the Grand Ole Opry! Hes super singer to me!

I love learning more and more about Luke. So humble, its refreshing. I love how he talked about how he treats his fans, keeping costs low, free fan club, and keeping tickets from scalpers. Those things right there is what will set him apart from other people and fans notice that. I like how he talked at the end about enjoying the moment and doing things now without regrets later. Sounds like a song he should write ;) Seeing him tomorrow night in Columbia, MO for the first time and cannot wait. Such a cool guy and happy for all his success.

Great interviews in the Bobbycast as always. And now it’s neat to see that’s it’s on KZfaq so we can watch it as well. Great productions by Bobby and always interesting company and topics. I love the way Bobby just rolls with his questions and it’s not really scripted. Keep up the good work!

Honestly never heard of Luke until my youngest son Jonas came out to the farm and wanted me to listen to the music he was putting together for the play list at his wedding and the songs. When I first heard Luke with my son planning something that was so important, seems like I haven’t been able to walk away from all Luke’s songs. I like men with a bit of mongrel I guess I mean not scared of dirt, kind, a little wild and just having a crack while being grounded and remembering the importance of compassion. I have been hooked with his music ever since and following hoping that when he comes back to Australia I can maybe go with my son for a Mum and son road trip. I wish him and Nicole all the very best, health, wealth and happiness because I know they good deserve it through their kindness. Hope to see you next time your here

I started listening to your radio show when our local station switched a few months back. You are my 'drive to work' listen on the radio in the morning. Very shortly after, I started listening once I got to work also, (until you go off the air and our local DJs take over). You mentioned this podcast - so I looked it up. Keep in mind - this was my FIRST TIME to listen to ANY full podcast! Very genuine and enjoyable! You both are very down to earth, obviously hard working, young men. I'm hooked! Going to listen to others now.

Thank you so much for this interview. Luke Combs has been an inspiration to me for three years now. I am so happy for his success in a world that can be so hung up on glamour. I believe that is why he has the fan base and seven going on eight number one hits. He pointed out in his interview his views on writing good quality songs, not just pushing them out to say it's done. That is why both of his albums have 17 QUALITY songs, not a bad one among them.

Louis Varre People that buy tickets from ticketmaster or another ticket place and then try to sell the ticket for a higher price! They usually hang around the parking lot of the concert or before you go into the gates!

I am a member of his fan club. We love Luke!!! We bought tickets for December 2019 at Bridgestone & we paid over 1800.00 for both tickets. I don’t regret it, but it wasn’t even a VIP ticket. Love you Luke!!!

For what it’s worth... lawn tickets at the Charlotte show were selling for $100 minimum. Pit passes were close to $400 each.

Sounded like an interesting interview but my pour speakers couldn't take all of Luke's coughing into the mic every 20 seconds...no joke one of my speakers finally blew after popping & cracking every time he'd hawk up real hard. At least I have an excuse to upgrade my tired old jbls in my truck!

Can someone explain to me why someone not having “ears” would hinder them from playing a guitar. Like he can still hear everyone else playing their instruments. I go and watch bands in bars and none of them have “ears”. Just confusing why it’s a big deal

It's a 2 part problem, on a live broadcast like SNL they've got to keep stage volume down in any way possible because it's such a small venue so they would do everything possible to eliminate on stage amps. They may be on stage for looks but they'd try to keep the volume down or off if possible. They would also be mixing for the live audience and the broadcast at the same time, the live audience rig would sound delayed to the guys on stage because that's bouncing off the back wall and coming back to the stage so the timing wouldn't match the live drums and sound on stage.

B Evans when you are on stage, even if they have amps, it’s very hard to hear the opposite side of the stage. If you’re monitor goes out it’s hard, but doable, to keep up with everyone else. Usually you can hear the singer and keep up with it that way.
