We were riding Soarin' over California in Disneyland and the ride suddenly jolted to a stop. We were stuck in the air for about 25 minutes before they could reset the ride and bring us down safely.

OMG what an exciting & also scary Experience, it was so cool seeing all the behind the scenes stuff you don’t normally get to see too, You all handled it very well, had that been us I think we would be a lot more panicked 😱🤭🤣 Thanks for sharing this with us ❤️🤩xx

It was super cool seeing Soarin behind the scenes. Kiya didn’t care much for it but bob and I thought it was kinda fun to be honest. We don’t often get to see those kinds of things 😍❤️😁

This is my DREAM! I've never been stuck on a ride. Hopefully next time I go to Disney I'll experience a breakdown. Consider yourselves lucky, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I have been evacuated twice. On Star Wars rise of resistance and haunted mansion. Its pretty cool. I have also been in the staff area of ROR aand it was super cool.

Jon was saying how cool the golf scene was and then all the turbulence haha. Also when Kiya bent down and vanished from the shot I thought she had got off. Maybe don’t unfasten your seat belt haha. I’m so surprised it was Kiya that was scared. Xx

I was really surprised Kiya was scared too. I didn’t think it would have bothered her. We did have some turbulence! That would have been a bit of a jump to get down haha!

It’s crazy how abruptly it seemed to stop! Glad they finally got you guys down though. We never seem to get evacuated off rides…bad luck? Good luck? Lol

In my 45 years of going to the parks … I have never been evacuated from a ride! The closest I’ve come was in Space Mountain at Disneyland … it stopped at the very top for about 20 minutes … then they turned on all the lights to reset the system … so we got to ride twice … once with the lights on and again with the lights off! Lights on was 10X scarier!

This happened to me a couple days ago we were on the top row, right before we got to the elephants the whole vehicle jerked/jolted and we froze in place and the screen turned blue and we were let down by some cast members

I have 2 questions. 1. At what point did the canopy roof above you raise back up? Normally they are pointed down for the flight. 2. Did your legs hurt from staying in that position on the ride for 20 minutes? One time I was on Soarin in the same seat for a long time and after an hour and my legs started to hurt.

That’s a great question! The canopy must have raised when the film stopped. The center section was brought down immediately and we didn’t really even notice our canopy was up to be honest. But in the beginning you can see the canopy being lowered before we went into the air….. again great question! Our legs didn’t hurt after, I think we were only up for about 25 minutes. Wow an hour is a really long time!

I recently got stuck on soarin' towards the end of the ride and it was right when we were supposed to be swinging back to the ground I felt the click. The canopy seemed to rise at the same time it was supposed to if we were on the ground

This just happened to me the other night on that ride! We were stuck on that ride for over an hour. A manager comped us park hopper tickets and other freebies. Did they compensate you?

Looks like we missed watching this when it came out. We have never been evacuated off a ride - though there have been close calls where the rides stopped for 2 or 3 minutes and we thought we were gonna be evacuated but they got things working pretty quickly. Why was one side of the ride empty? Every time Jack rode Soarin in Florida and California, there was always a big line. Did they not have enough people in line to fill the ride? You hit turbulence - LOL. Twenty five minutes is a long time to be stick 40 feet in the air. At least you got some good footage for the channel!

It was the entire left side of the theater that was left empty. It was weird because there were plenty of people in line to fill it, and they actually took our party of 3 ahead of some larger groups because they had just 3 spots to fill, it was all just a strange circumstance! We rarely ever get evacuated off a ride so this was an experience for sure!

We were in the middle section on the top row. I would request the bottom row if you have a fear of heights, they are usually more than happy to accommodate you. Have a wonderful time! The rides are all very safe so dont worry and have fun 😀
