This is a featured match from The Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, NY. Here the German terror Fritz von Erich takes on the legendary Bobo Brazil. Brazil's immense popularity was responsible for breaking down many of the color barriers in wrestling. Fritz von Erich was a great German heel throughout the 50's and 60's. He achieved great success in the Buffalo territory and would hold the Omaha versions of the AWA title. He would become promoter and owner of the Dallas territory.

Most other venues Bobo was announced from Benton Harbour Michigan.

I believe that the Von Erich family did more for professional wrestling than most people realize. Sadly it took it's toll on them as well. So tragic and sad. I loved watching them for many years. Thanks for posting this. It brings back some really good memories. God Bless the Von Erich's.

right after fritz died I heard a story about him and if it's true he was a lousy human being he supposedly forced his sons in to wrestling and force them to take steroids like I said I"m not sure it all that's real so i'm saying if it's true

STOP MAKING EXCUSES FRITZ KNEW ALL HIS KIDS WERE TAKING ALL KINDS OF DRUGS FROM POT TO COCAINE AND NEVER DID ANYTHING TO STOP THEM BECAUSE HE,WAS AFRAID IT WOULD ALTER THE MONEY COMING IN WELL THE MONEY DID STOP WHEN THE BOYS WERE ALL DYING INCLUDING DAVID WHO WAS ON DRUGS AND INSTEAD OF TELLING HOW DAVID REALLY DIED THEY COVERED THAT ALL UP TO EVEN HAVING BRUISER BRODY THROUGH AWAY THE DRUGS THAT DAVID WAS ABUSING THAT CAUSED HIS DEATH BEFORE THE POLICE GOT THERE. SO STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR DRUG ABUSE THAT IS THE RUINATION OF OUR COUNTRY. ONE OF KEVIN'S SONS TODAY IS SUPPOSEDLY HAVING A,DRUG PROBLEM AND KEVIN IS DOING THE SAME THING COVERING IT UP.

sometimes we had to wrap the rabbit ears with aluminum foil to get better reception, wrestling was regional and didn't always get netwrok stations, I remeber it being on channel 11 in TX in the 60's

16 mm film tape was most commonly used during that era.
