Usually bands have intermissions lol some like 10 minutes to recoup (rehydrate, band equipment issues so on) often times the band will try to keep the crowd entertained until issues are resolved, also longer intermissions 30-45 minutes to take down all the equipment and switch it for the next band

You're entitled to your opinion albeit wrong, slaughter to prevail rely heavily on Alex's vocals, if he replaced the guitarists and drummer with actual talent then maybe they could be the best but until then they're mediocre, and I am a fan before you say shit about gate keeping seen them do there shit Europe tour

This is kind of how I feel about this band. I can respect the guy’s vocals but the band and the music itself is behind what’s happening in today’s metal scene. But I view these guys as a sort of transitional band for kids looking to get into harder music.
@DragonKnightX1222 күн бұрын
@@jarrodhall3686 Pretty inline with the current metal scene adding Nu-metal, industrial grunge, and butt rock into Metalcore/Deathcore. Idk if I would call them a transitional band to heavy music, maybe extreme metal and hardcore.
@jarrodhall368622 күн бұрын
@@DragonKnightX12 Fair. What I mean is they aren’t trendsetting, merely following the current formula. I guess I’ve seen a lot of people who wouldn’t be into this type of metal, except they like this band and Lorna Shore. Probably has something to do with the blending of the older genres you mentioned. That’s a good gateway. I forgot that people find this stuff heavy. I guess I mean more metal nerds who are looking for the heavier thing often pass through deathcore onto more technical stuff.
@DragonKnightX1221 күн бұрын
@@jarrodhall3686 Not really. They would be the trend setters, since they are on top of the game. STP is basically Slipknot dialed up 12, and turned Russian. A big factor too is they have a frontman just like Knot. Alex Terrible has strong opinions and strong presence on social Media. Same with Lorna Shore. They struck gold with Will. Not only was he a extremely talented vocalist, but he has a strong and very likeable personality. Nah old guys always hate on the kid's new form of music. Remember the early scene was made up by teenagers, so it got associated as being Death metal watered down for kids by salty old heads. Lol
@jarrodhall368621 күн бұрын
@@DragonKnightX12 Nah, they definitely aren’t doing anything original in the genre. There are much better bands in the genre (Humanity’s Last Breath, Netherwalker, Infant Annihilator, Fit for an Autopsy, Suicide Silence) There’s a new group I started listening to recently called Larcenia Roe that puts STP to shame. STP sound is generic compared to these groups. The comparison to Slipknot is interesting because I have the same criticisms for that band (gimmicky, generic, etc), yet I can appreciate they at least tried to do something interesting A band should more than their frontman, especially in this genre. Yeah, I remember because I was a teenager back when the scene was first big. I’m in my 30s now but I went to plenty of shows back then, as well as punk, metalcore, hardcore, and tech death concerts. I just recently attended the Archspire/Aborted/Carcosa/Alluvial show. All those bands are amazing. And everyone gave respect to Carcosa, even though they are a deathcore band. That’s why I can say these guys are nothing interesting.
