From Emmy-winning executive producer Dick Wolf and co-creator Derek Haas comes Season 10 of the drama "Chicago Fire." This adrenaline-fueled ride is a look into the lives of Firehouse 51's firefighters and paramedics as they risk their lives to save and protect the citizens of Chicago.
Led by Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), the Truck and Rescue Squad companies are more than co-workers, they're family.

MY THOUGHTS/OPINION ONLY Yes, i agree...1st responders, for the most part, are selfless like that... However, u'll have some, every blue moon, who either have issues prior 2 employ or da job creates too much baggage...& sanity is, sadly, iffy. Side note...what I don't get is why parents jus stood there not try 2 get son out?? If it was my kid, I'd be trying 2 dig em out tearing anything apart 2 help!!

This was probably based off of those siblings in New Jersey who were digging a sand hole when it collapsed on them this past spring. One of them died.

This is a legit danger and quite a few people have died because of it. All that sand collapses on you, and not only can’t you breathe because of the sand covering your face, your chest is completely crushed by the weight meaning you can’t move your chest to breathe.

Love this scene but I think it would have been a perfect chance to show that people can be good too. Boden asking for help from the beach crowd and everyone coming in to help the trapped boy would have been amazing

I really wish Hulu would reconsider letting people see it the next day. It's only on Hulu live now. Sometimes I work late.

Just like CBS, looks like all NBC shows are no longer available the next day if you don't have Hulu live. I've tried watching via NBC (Peacock) for other shows but it's not available the next day or after. I would need to subscribe to cable or have to pay premium in order to watch the show. Everyone is getting greedy now.

I agree it's a load of crap how Hulu and all the big services are taking this show & several other good series's off the streaming services. I'm also tired of Regular Peacock because they use to have Chicago Fire & PD seasons both on regular Peacock for free & now they took it off there & put it on Peacock plus/ premium where you have to pay for every episode now . Where you used to be able to watch them free.

It used to be on the lowest tier in Hulu that's the only way I could watch it, now it's on the highest level can't afford like $80 a month so upset

@@veronicawatson2525 Except you conveniently forget, TV and Cable were each packaged deals with one relatively low fee each. Now a days, with every company wanting its own streaming service, for a person to see the same amount of programing, they'd be paying easily double, triple, or more depending on how diverse their tastes are. This is why people are growing malcontent with what is going on.

from what ive seen, they were diggin a deep, wide hole, which is actually super dangerous because the walls are really unstable so the kid most likely had them collapse on him

When I was a teenager, a kid died after a sand tunnel he and a friend had been digging into the side of a sand dune collapsed on him. It's a very real danger

I feel we need to go back a bit, where did the big old pile of sand come from? Why is the dad surprised by it and how did the boys come to be under it?

the sand pile was likely sand that had been dug up. my best guess is that the kid was ginning a deep wide hole (maybe with dads help?) dad stepped away and the hole collapsed in on itself and the kid. the dad wasn't surprised, but rather shocked and panicked

This is whar happens when you dig wide holes that go to deep. Quite a few people die because of it. What happens is the hole is unstable and its just colapses in on the person whos inside it

Genuine question. At that point, would you take the kid out and start doing chest compressions as opposed to putting the mask and waiting for him to breathe on his own? Or I guess it depends if there’s a pulse? Would love to hear from paramedics, drs or other medical professionals.

If he has a pulse and it is not very slow or slowing down, no need to do chest compressions. Give oxygen via a mask. If he doesn't have a pulse just start chest compression once his sternum is freed. If he is not breathing no point of giving oxygen via a mask, you have to force air in to his lungs with ambu or mouth to mouth... hope this is helpful
