Great, Nicolle. Clear and clever. Please, continue with your videos and enjoy with them. I begin with bodhrán and your video is full of naturalness, the best way to learn something.

Thank you so, so much, Nicolle! I am so proud of myself now in remembering to keep the hand relaxed, I used to have a tight grip and now I sometimes even drop the tipper haha. I am a beginner and I appreciate all your help!!!

Pen style is still a good starting point but with the straight wrist, a good way to get around moving the elbow away from the body is slightly tilt the drum across your body and at the same time tilt the top slightly in.....this will allow you to keep your tipper much more parallel to your drum reducing the about of twist and power you need to make a clean firm contact between tipper and skin....great video my friend keep them coming

Every single Bodhran teacher will tell you to never tilt or tip the drum, that will result in bad posture also and just overall looks sloppy
