Bodie CA Historic State Park Ghost Town Documentary

Күн бұрынA documentary tour of the amazing abandoned Bodie Ghost State Historic Park/Town off of Hwy 395 near Bridgeport, California in the High Sierra mountains at over 8,000' elevation. The town is a true historical relic and is amazingly well preserved in "arrested decay" with great stories. Some say its haunted with original relics still in the buildings. It was operational as late as 1942 when it was closed for the war. Unfortunately it never returned to operation after the war. We travel the dirt road to arrive at this old California Gold Mining Town. Come along as we tour the various attractions and give some history along the way. Tours of the huge Standard Mine/Mill are available at specific times.

Great upload. We love the history of Bodie so much we have a large Bodie ghost town themed display for Halloween and also named our dog Bodie. ;) Keep up the excellent content.

We caught Brown Trout in the tiny creek there years ago. Neat place.

I lived in the June Lake Loop from 1966 to 1973 and made many trips to Bodie. Even,{ He says} worked with the last child born in Bodie. You could go inside all of the buildings except the Standard mine property.
