Begin by wiping up as much fluid as possible and then dispose of that in a regulated waste or biohazard bag. If some of the blood or fluid is on your gloves, take off the gloves, using one glove to remove the other and dispose of them in the biohazard bag. Put on a new pair of gloves, checking for any punctures or breaks. Then take the disinfecting solution and spray the rest of the spill, wipe it up to remove all visible traces. Then, remove the second pair of gloves and dispose of them. Spray down the entire surface and allow it to evaporate to finish the decontamination process. Video created by ProTrainings.

This video is excellent, as some of the steps involved are a bit counterintuitive so you might not come up with them on your own. I didn't. However, there is a mistake, pointed out by a note from my training course that references this video: In order to have a 10% bleach solution, it needs to be 1 part bleach mixed with NINE parts of water, NOT ten: 1 + 9 = 10 parts. 1 part in 10 AFTER mixing is 10%. The bleach also adds volume, not just the water. Otherwise, 1 + 10 parts = 11 parts total, not 10, so concentration would be 1/11 or 9.09%, less than the recommended concentration by the CDC.
