Body Grip Trap Stabilizer Fabrication

I demonstrate how to make a basic body grip trap stabilizer out of materials that are readily available. The same design can be used for all body grip traps by just modifying the dimensions to the smaller traps.
Basic materials
Lathe. 1”Thick x 1”Wide x6”Long
Tabs. 1/2” Thick x 1-1/2” Wide x 3-1/2” Long
Stakes. 9/16” diameter x 6” long lags

I been 3d printing a few brackets for connies for Fisher and stuff. I find the connie pans prevent the trap from sitting against the tree in a way they can trigger. Have not managed to get them out yet to test them yet. I do however got some 3d printed squirrel boxes that worked quite nicely. I also got a few 3d printed weasel, floating muskrat and floating mink boxes that I also need to get out. When they are all finished and tested in the field maybe next year at this point. The x axis belt snapped last night. When I'm ready I'm gonna put them on thingiverse though when they are ready.

I make the same ones. I weld a washer to the bolts on the bottom side. Light weight n effective. Thanks for sharing. Down fall is you can't use them if you want to put trigger on the bottom.
