Body line dent repair | Paintless dent tutorial In this video we are doing some dent repair inside of a body line. Generally for most big dent repairs I try and use the glue pulling techniques and dent pullers of some sort . This cheap C clamp works as glue plus a dent puller cutting the repair time in half..
I use C clamps of all sizes for smaller dents and extreme dent repair on fenders. Unfortunately you can’t use this tool on other parts of the vehicle or it would be my most used tool. With this pdr repair I only used two different pdr dent tools with 3 interchangeable tips. Blunt,semi blunt,sharp tips did the final micro pushing while the vise handled the bulk of this huge dent.. With doing body line dent repair make sure you keep a lot heat on the panel to stop the dent from cracking.

I dig your channel bro! I use clamps like this sometimes too. I have some large pieces of curved wood for clamping fender edges. This one would've also been a great candidate for a large oval domed Atlas Titan tab and keco mini lifter. The lifter feet support the fender lip edge and also push down on the crown while pulling the body line back out. Same finishing technique with rods at the end though. Many ways to skin a cat. Keep up the great videos my man!

Nice work. I had to do an inner door sill that had been poorly repaired after an accident. Fortunately, it has several lightening holes, so I was able to get different clamps in and pull out the deep creases. Where did you get your deep C clamps? Keep up the good work. New sub, too!

My Chevy Equinox has a nearly identical dent in the same place. I tapped an empty dumpster on a roadside. My neighbor had left their dumpster sticking out in the road. I might just try working that dent out myself. Hey, you should do a gag video where one of the steps is to just slather Bondo over the whole thing.

Damn bro... Im buying a C clamp today... Those are really pesky line dents... Any tips on edge dents on dome extensoins due to hail.... I find the line it makes close to the edge a pain and end up painting due to one dent....

Thank you Louis.. have you tried using the pdr edge tool pliers? They work good for tight edge dents. You can also make a set out of an open "welding" vise grip if you know how to weld. I've made a few and they work great

And if the dent is on a panel that is around the same place but the panel is double skinned, what then?.

In that case you would have to do a glue pull or try to fix it with a pdr tool .. Unfortunately the c clamp can only work with a open panel .

For a 7 minute video we probably saw him do 3 hours of work with assessment, tool change, and experience $75 is a good deal. What do you charge for 3 hours of your time?
