Alright, today we're breaking down a "fat loss" diet.
**NEW FULL GYM PROGRAM: bit.ly/fullgym...
30 DAY GARAGE PROGRAM: bit.ly/3igtiIF
There is a lot to take away from this but some of the main points are that every meal should have some source of protein in it or... it's not a meal. Food is fuel so start treating it like it. Finally, pay close attention to your macro percentages because they can get out of hand QUICK!

Ryan has many great tips, and is very helpful, I am on his wavelength for many if not most things. But some of his advice is not just wrong, but very bad. Do not ever avoid eating apples for fear of becoming 'diabeto' like Ryan joked about. Not only are they chock-a-block full of minerals, enzymes, vitamins, but they are an amazing pre-biotic food. I highly recommend watching some videos on the gut microbiome, we are learning more and more about it and it's incredibly important for optimal health and metabolism. Foods like apples, mushrooms, beans, lentils, chickpeas, (high fiber foods) are KEY to maintaining a healthy gut microbiome. An unhealthy gut microbiome is likely to cause disease such as diabetes and has a negative impact on your immune system, wellbeing, and even your personality! Eating good fibrous foods without protein will not cause diabetes, that is just ludicrous.

I lost over 130 lbs 15+ years ago now and I've kept it off, but something Ryan said really resonated with me: Try to have your meals reflect your macro goals for the day. This is something I've gravitated towards naturally as I've become more mature with my eating lifestyle. Great tip and I wish I'd had it 15 years ago!

At 21 I dropped down from 350 to 225lbs at my lowest but I’ve gained so much weight since shutdowns started over a year ago. I’m at 270 and it hit me that I never learned how to correctly eat and manage my meals in the time I lost that weight. I’m 23 now, and getting back to working out and eating clean and healthy. But there are people who'd eat a whole meal full of protein , carbs and fat but say no to fruits 'cause too much sugar' . Thats bs . End of the meal eat a seasonal fruit . Full of fibers , vitamins and all that good stuff. Don't let Ryan or anyone tell you it causes diabetes

I've been trying to get my nephew to understand this for 6 years now. He's an absolute butterball in the basketball offseason and 30lbs overweight during it. There is no doubt in my mind diabetes is in his future. He never learned from me, his other uncle, his aunt and his grandfather eating the same way and getting diabetes. Fortunately I wised up and fixed myself and got rid of my diabetes through proper diet and exercise. Nothing goes in my body that's counterproductive to my goals now.

I liked this video, but I also feel like you left out some important info as to why this diet was unsuccessful. Most of this food wasn't categorically bad, so I'm assuming her issues were with the proportions and macro breakdown? Possibly snacking too much on the pretzels and popcorn or leaning too hard into the fruit? It's possible she left out some other info, too. In my opinion, "food is fuel" is a helpful mindset when you've been in the game for a little while and have had success, but it's not going to convince anyone that's just starting their journey. That said, I don't think this channel is meant for beginners, but the diet advice videos will likely bring in some new, entry-level eyes. Love your content man, I'd love to see more food-focused vids if you've got the time.

@@kimdavis7812 Really doesn't change the rule. You want to go to bed on an empty-ish stomach, but nature made humans diurnal. On normal days, water is the only thing that goes in my mouth after ~5:30PM, and I don't eat breakfast until around 10:00AM. Yes there are events(eg date nights) that change my normal eating pattern. On average it's about 2 days per month. My friends and extended family know that if they invite me for something at night I will not be eating/drinking with them.

Analogy: Fill up your car. Drive it 'round the block once. Let it stand for a bit. Add 50 gallons of gasoline. Wait a few hours. Now add another 25 gallons. That's what you're doing to your body day after day. With one difference. The food doesn't spill on the floor but under your skin. Popcorn?
@vainntoon788
@vainntoon788 2 жыл бұрын
Well I have nothing against this concept. Just to explain how other don't understand. I'll give another explanation. Food is fuel and you are what you eat. Basically what ever that has made you who you are today is all because of what you ate. Now do you think there is difference between healthy human and a person is contrast medication and depressed. Basically 99% of your meat proteins are coming from some depressed trapped and medicated animal. So now what becomes you is that you have consumed. All its diseases and disorders. Eating fruits and veg long term would give you better mental health. Now would you stop consuming meat. Or maybe search and only buy good quality free range organic meat. The answer for most of us is no. You can get protein from other stuff than meat. But you would choose not to. Then how how can you judge others for their unhealthy behaviour with and eat for taste more than fuel. Bway I not a vegan.

All you have to do is go to the grocery store and get in line and look at what is in almost every cart and you realize why everyone is fat and diabetic. Eliminate the sugar, starch, grains and fruit. Then base your diet on what is left. In this order, meat/fish, modest dairy, low glycemic vegetables. That is what I live on. Steak, fish, eggs and greens primarily. People complicate things too much.

Completed week 1 of the 30 day session. Excellent. Took a few days but body fat starting to burn off and getting used to the intensity of working to failure. Had an original plan of doing some cardio after each workout....NOT HARDLY. Yes after legs but right now just getting thru the workouts and eating. Keeping up with what's planned at 225 -250 grams of protein per day finally becoming a normal routine. And the results just began after week one. Expect week 2 and 3 with 4 to continue to escalate progress. After week 2 a full body scan scheduled just to see if protein and training on track to four week goals. But the body does seem to be reacting as expected and hoped for. This 30 day session is a great one.

Meals should always contain protein Nothing is really explained why these meals are bad. Is it the macros, is it the specific food? This was great. I tell people, I eat to fuel my body when I'm training. I endulge on crap when I have my cheat meal once a week. Knowing what to eat, Monitoring Macros and consistency is key.

You're vegan. I'm vegan. The bulk of my protein comes from vital wheat gluten aka seitan. It is mostly protein. Hardly any carbs, or fat. Yea, bunch of sodium. But I'm good with that. 21g protein, 104 kcal. 9g carbs. I hit 200g protein/day and under 1600 kcal. Lot of seitan. Yuba, tofu. pea isolate.

I don't like the whole "Food is fuel" thing it's just not realistic really,you should enjoy what is in your diet and not feel forced.

Greek yogurt is a good source of protein that also is more satiating/satisfying than a protein shake Same thing with popcorn, fiber and low calorie for the satiety.

Hey mate, any suggestions for FIFO workers ? We don’t exactly have a choice for our meals. Breakfast is porridge with honey matybe 1 slice toast. Lunch is tuna and salad, (big boy serving) Dinner could be anything, always try to load up vegetables

That pancake bit... I love pancakes, I eat them almost every day. I also am an oiler for a sawmill and use all kinds of grease and oil every day to maintenance the machines. I know what that shit smells like and how gross it is. Fucking NEVER will I eat that shit
