Every time you see a fight video like this, it's always made according to the wishes and pandering to the strengths of the martial artist instead of the bodybuilder or strength athlete. Martial artists like soft, flat surfaces and ample space as well as restrictions on illegal moves. There are many potential situations where strength, size, youth and luck reign more important than combat sport skill. Even MMA itself as a combat sport is not as diverse as we are made to believe; it only covers unarmed fighting. If you were to put the BJJ black belt in a ring with a bodybuilder and provide them both with baseball bats, would the BJJ guy win? Probably not because the bodybuilder could swing the weapon with more power and could take more damage due to his muscles protecting his organs, nerves and spine more effectively. There are so many forms of violence and competition out there, if you're willing to look into it, that there's really no such thing as "real fighting" at all; not even on the street. The world is too chaotic to bend to such human categories.
@Ricardoromero4444
@Ricardoromero4444 7 жыл бұрын
Actually provided none of them train kendo, the safest bet is on the BJJ guy, because if he manages to close the distance then the baseball bat is completely useless.
@DancerInTheHeart
@DancerInTheHeart 7 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Romero That's a big if because it is not anything that he has spent any time training on specifically,ever. The BJJ guy would also have to give up his weapon at some point and that would make him very vulnerable until he can somehow muscle the bat away from the bodybuilder.
@haylongwang3002
@haylongwang3002 7 жыл бұрын
no he wouldent need to give up his weapon and the bodybuilder wouldent be able to take any clean hits fron a baseball bat. The traind fighter would know how to dodge, attack, take down, and fight while the bodybuilder would be A be to slow B know jack shit about fighting C wouldent know what to do with the Baseball bat just like the traind fighter. And D fighters can take a punch just as good as a bodybuilder if not better. A fighter know punches and the bodybuilder dont and even if he did he wouldent have any exp with it nor know how to block it.
@DancerInTheHeart
@DancerInTheHeart 7 жыл бұрын
Haylong Wang I don't mean to be abrasive but you need to type better english than that for me to believe that you invested any thought in your response. BJJ does not train you to dodge strikes; if it does, it's no longer BJJ but rather boxing, kickboxing, MMA or what not and none of those arts teach you to deal with baseball bats either. European jujutsu, hapkido and perhaps krav maga work on that kinds of scenarios to a small extent.

To say you can cheat in a real fight would imply breaking rules. If there are rules in a street fight, who sets them? So two guys are gonna throw down, so they sit at a picnic table are write up a contract before they go at it? There is only one rule in a street fight....WIN. The only way to cheat is to cheat yourself.....

So what? Bodybuilding is not a fight sport. You can have the looks and the power, if you didn't learn how to use it in a fight, it's worthless. So this could also be: carpenter vs Jiu Jitsu, cyclist vs Jiu Jitsu, cook vs Jiu Jitsu, fencer without epee vs Jiu Jitsu, motocrosser vs Jiu Jitsu. But what if Kravist vs Jiu Jitsu? That would be intresting.

The comment section makes me cringe more than anything. "HURR DURR SO FAKE". YES it's fake, it's a scripted scenario. They are sparring to show us that this untrained bodybuilder can't win against a black belt fighter in his own sport. But the act itself is just there for comedic value. So please try to enjoy the video instead of acting like a smartass.

Going into a grappling match with a bjj practioner, winning with subs, and your not allowed to hit steps on the point. Like that video with the big brawler whos not allowed to strike. I mean, how are you supposed to win, by sub only right? So even if you're a great wrestler you can't win. Because there's no way

Fake I have seen bjj black belts get killed on the street. I can bite break your fingers it use the rules don't allow it give me the time and the day and place I practice fung fu I will put money on to show how I can break a of your fingers and you would let go of your stupid choke. And btw on the street people use real knieves.

Not all Street fights are a battle to the death though. Sometimes it's just two pissed off guys at a frat party. Obviously it's better to subdue a guy in some sort of a hold or arm bar, than to break their fingers and bite them.
