Boeing Board Shuts Down Potential Headquarters Move To Seattle

Boeing's board has rejected a shareholder attempt to move the manufacturer's headquarters back to Seattle. The proposal was put forward at Boeing's most recent annual general meeting (AGM) by Walter Ryan - an individual who owns 10,000 shares in the manufacturer.

Yes. Move the HQ back to Seattle. Get more aircraft engineers and pilots back into high management levels. Bean counters are great at counting beans but not building aircraft.

Sack the board & move the HQ back to Seattle. Put Engineers on the board instead of financial engineers. Also sack the whole PR department- they’ve been lying for years.

The investor was just looking out for his money. Merging Boeing’s corporate and manufacturing buildings will improve communication between the people that build airplanes to the people that build wealth. No safe and high quality products to sell to customers = no cash flow = no wealth.

Because of Boeing's problems, it would make sense to bring key decision makers and board closer to the problems. Being in Arlington send the message that their focus is on lobbying. They need to focus on ensuring they return Boeing to its reliable glory days istead of penny piching and blindly increase production rates promised to customers which result in degraded quality.

Yes they should move back. I am sure that will show their commitment to quality and not tax benefits. Just that action will give people the confidence they have been lacking that the company is serious about making things right.

It might have worked, but the McDonnell Douglas brain rot is well entrenched in the company by now, so I don't think moving back to Seattle would have still been able to fix it.
