Properly planting marginal bog plants. Most bog plants are planted so high and near the surface of the water koi eating them is not a concern like it is for lower planted plants. Jennings shows us just how large some of these containers should be (16 inch wide pots or larger). We want the pots heavy and full of heavy loam soil as to not blow over in the wind.

Rather not plant most in gravel but properly into a heavy loam soil.

Michael it is a river lilly! Wonderful late summer and autumn blooming plant! Very long blooming season of almost 3 months.
