What is The Strongest Animal in Zoo Tycoon 2?

What is the strongest animal in the world? For centuries David Attenborough, Steve Backshall and many KZfaq tier list makers have been asking this very question. Today, I will be using the Zoo Simulation video game Zoo Tycoon 2 to find the answer. Having created my own powerful creatures in Spore and my own powerful humans in The Sims, I felt inspired to find a champion among animals which actually exist. to do this I will be running a Tournament format with a grand final at the end, like the euros or the world cup except much more ethically questionable. Who will win? Will it be the Arctic's greatest warrior the polar bear, the most famous of dinosaurs the T-rex, the king of the jungle the tiger or something else?
(sorry this video is so bad I have no idea how it ended up so rubbish I think I just rushed it)

Wait a second. You forgot the infamous killer penguin. No joke, its in the game. You can only get it by messing up the minigame to resurrect extinct animals. Its as tall as a human, has glowing red eyes and sharp teeth coming out of its beak.

So the tigers killed themselves and managed to win because of total kills (9:42) but the swordfish lost doing the same thing (10:00)? One can cleary see how biased the judges of this tournament are.

Was pretty disappointrd to see the clear bias towards quadrupedal mammals. How would a wjale fare against a whale shark? Who has stronger kicks? An ostrich or a kangaroo? And how would a lion fare against the dreaded... lion mascot? I think we need a round 2, man.

@@Ealais76 dinosaurs are not reptiles, that was started back before scientists knew anything. birds are avian dinosaurs, and dinosaurs are non-avian dinosaurs. so birds are dinosaurs and thus dinosaurs are birds. majority of dinosaurs had picnofibers that evolved into the feathers we know now.

If you have Planet Zoo you can do a Remake of this Battles maybe. The fights should work there better than in ZT2 ^^ But the video was nice. Nice idea. :)

As a child I did this with all the theropods and found that Utahraptor is the king of the dinosaurs. It managed to kill T. rex more often than the other way around.

this reminds me of when I used the "sandbox zoo" in complete collection to do a 4-team tournament. (prehistoric, marine, terrestrial, and mythical). obviously team mythical had the biggest disadvantage, only 5 species (mermaid, yeti, bigfoot, unicorn, and loch ness monster). ultimately the prehistoric team won since most of their species survived each round, and not very many of the marine team's species could compete against most of the terrestrial, prehistoric, or mythical species as they need to be able to swim in tanks to fight the marine team. I did have electric fencing for the land battles and Atlantian tank walls for the aquatic battles. to no surprise Plesiosaurus slaughtered a lot of the Marine team, though so did Loch Ness Monster. Mermaid was useless for the mythical team though, great white shark killed her quickly.
