Angelina did not audition; she performed. She was well-established long before she showed up at AGT. She was there, at their AGT's invitation to increase the ratings. Angelina is an example of a successful artist that first appeared publicly on a 'Got Talent' show.

Angelina took a big risk with this performance. She took an iconic rock anthem, turned it into an intimate soulful ballad and made it beautiful. She started off acapella, singing very softly, which gets you leaning forward and listening closely. Then she just wraps you in a warm embrace. When Angelina starts to sing, Alesha Dixon says, "Wow!" The next time Alesha is the focus of the camera, she looks like she is about to start crying. She is REALLY affected by Angelina's performance. Then Angelina gives her a break by belting out that big note that shocked her out of that emotional abyss she's about to slip into. If you've seen Angelina's Gloomy Sunday think back to Mia Gunderson being an absolute wreck at the end. Thanks for the reaction.

"Lets the game come to her" - MOST interesting. I've never heard someone make that argument! Excellent. Her acapella opening forces us into her 'intimacy' - forces us into HER 'letting the game come to her.' Amazing and wonderful - and thanks for the wonderful and unique view.

Interesting observation, acapella. True, she used only four bars of guitar, a two-fingered piano player far in the background, essentially just reminding we poor mortals how accurately she is maintaining pitch. A skilled professional communicator who works very hard to make what she does look easy.

One of the best reactions to Angelina Jordan I have ever seen! It sets words to the roots of her talent and shows a deep understanding of what she is doing. A relief to hear something else than "Wow, what a voice and I don't believe it" going on repeat among the reactors. Thank you!

to me, the best part of the song is 'I dont want to die'. Angelina at 13 somehow manages to sound so sincere, so honest, as if she sings from her own life and experience. I know it's not true, but I listen and I believe. It's beautiful as it gets.

He had never heard it but I knew he needed to before hearing Angelina so that he could really appreciate her performance. To sing Bohemian Rhapsody is one thing but then to be confident enough to make this song uniquely hers the way that she did is a different league all together.

Angie may have set two precedents. First by her family holding her close and preventing her from beeing sucked into and crushed by that black hole that the industry can be for many youngsters. That means there was no real money to be made with her as a "kid star". Second by forcing AGT to accept a deal without record contract. I think all the bad experience stories out there will have many parents watch her story with interest. The word is, Daniela Tuleshova (at least AGT contract wise) has followed her in those footsteps. My overall impression is - AGT and other shows lately seem to process talents faster than new ones are born. So the goldrush is mostly over. Incidentally Simon recently sold his record company "to concentrate on the show".

Hi, guys! Nice to see you again, Tony! Debra, I don't know how many times you have listened to Angelina sing this MASTERPIECE but Tony needs to know if he listens to this more than one time he will get more emotionally involved with her and the song. It's what happens when she is performing. You not only listen to her sing but your heart has an open door to let her in and you begin to root for her, to feel her love which she is sending to you and you want her to do well because she seems to be a very nice and caring person. And, her personality and her intent to spread love to everyone who hears her sing is so top shelf you become a better person because you want to support her efforts and don't want to disappoint her by not being as good a person as you can be. Tony, you brought up basketball. I once played alongside a "point guard" in High School who, if he wanted to could score 40 points a game. But he chose to keep all of us in the game by dishing off to us throughout the game. And, we were so appreciative when he passed us the ball our shooting percentage was incredible. Why? Because he gave up the ball for us there was no way we would miss our shot because we wanted to show him our appreciation! You see the connection. Angelina is my point guard.

Great review guys! Yet again Tony nailed it with the basketball comparison! Hey, I bet Angelina would be very good at basketball, she can get into the rhythm of the game, the phrasing of the bounce, the flow of the movement, and, of course, she has the stature to just go for the slam dunk!
@improveourselves3929

She is a genuine loving and gentle person. Basketball involves faking out your opponent, so she, like me when i was that age, wouldn't fit in to that culture. Plus, I'd be afraid of physical injury for her. Not worth the risk.

Wow, that's a great team, congratulations Debra, you have a wonderful reaction partner as well as life ❤️ Beautiful discussion on the abilities of our princess, I very much agree with your conclusions, her way of interpreting and transforming the songs is absolutely inclusive, never gives the feeling of watching her sing, but always gives you the splendid emotion of singing close to you in a familiar environment, just like Tony says. I love her sweet and intimate way of presenting herself, with her attitude and voice. Thanks once again, Great Team 🤗

Welcome back to you together! 🤗 Your husband Tony is right on, Debrah: she indeed adapted the song for two main reasons, bring it to her jazzy/blues way of singing (Tony commented it perfectly 😘) and reduced it to fixed 2 minutes allowed! Simon Cowel said it at the end and after him, Heidi pressed the golden buzzer... 😁 Here you have a short rehearsal (1' from her IG) about it with Egil accompanying her: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rZ2crNaJsa-8onk.html

WOW! you 2 were awesome in your reactions & analogies, Love the basketball one, so spot on Tony. To me Angie is the Epitome of less is more or (KISS) while everyone else come with the approach of bigger is better or more. (that's probably why mainstream music for the most part sucks today) & why people when the discover Angie fall in love with her. God wasn't messing around when he gave her so many gifts, spiritual & non spiritual. I think her greatest is Love & all that it encompasses. God bless you 2 & until the next Angie video. I'm going to give you a rare video to react to Deborah, & I hope you do react to it. This is something very special.
