That's so cute. The best thing about making the boho look is that it's supposed to have mistakes and look hand made. I like using bandanas from the dollar and a quarter store as lining.

Well Jen I started watching this this morning I had all my squares done was finishing the sc row and was cutting my material and my son that's going to college next week comes down and says it's time to go get his car inspected and oil change before he leaves us because he has to stay at school and won't be able to do it. I said to him but I'm watching cinnamon stitches in learning to make a bag and lining it do I have to go, lol. He looked at me like are you crazy😂😂so here I am at 1:47am trying to finish my bag because it was also my other son's birthday and we were celebrating that. Very long day but I'm finishing this bag before I hit my pillow lol😂🧶❤️thank you Jen I'm loving it so far.

Hi Jennifer, i love this bag and have made it using two strands of aran, with 4:5 m hook. It's for my 2nd granddaughter who's 17 yrs. It's dusky pink with grey trim. Thankyou so much for pattern. Oh WOW!! I had not felt Id learn anything, really, by watching this particular video. I was watching because I always enjoy watching you. Never did I think Id learn anything all that new. BOY, was I wrong! Ive made hundreds of granny square projects but never thought to turn them instead of crocheting in the round! I love that by turning the work there are no ridges or anything that makes a right side and a wrong side. THANK YOU for teaching me that I CAN learn new things!! Cute bag! I'm on square #2 and I'm holding 2 strands of 4 weight cotton so its quite hefty. I may not need to line it. I'm nervous about connecting them so I hope I can understand the process. The yarn I'm using is I Love Thus Cotton in Sunshiny (very colorful) and crafters secret cotton cone in ecru. I'm excited to finish it. I love the tassel idea!

So, I am loving your channel. I have started this bag with a couple of twists. I can't wait to get it finished. This is the first item that I have actually made for myself and I am pretty excited. I loved the denim yarn you used in your original bag, that I ordered it as well. I ended up having to get some white cotton yarn to crochet the granny squares together and make the strap. I also made an extra granny square for a closing flap and I am planning to use it as a bag for school (I am a teacher). I just have to get it lined. Hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for the tutorial, I have made many granny squares, just need the courage to put them together

I use the hdc in the corners to finish my row. This way I can start right in the corner. I start with only half a corner, then when I join at the end I dc3 in the corner and join with a hdc. Hope that helps you. I'm just listening to you since I learned granny square as a 9yr old... just turned 70 on the ninth. Just love you on this tutorial.... keeps me calm for some reason. Plus, I have so many granny squares all sizes.... gonna try to make a bag or two.

Adorable little bag, Jennifer! I love the yarn and the design! Definitely boho for sure! Even though you didn't measure the fabric, iron it or put pins in every 1/16th of an inch, it came out perfect in my eyes! I actually did like the way the lining was more generous on the inside rather than fitting too tightly. You don't have to worry about things poking holes in a lining that has no give and is stretched too tight! Gives the bag a cozier feeling, too, if that makes any sense! Thanks for the links to the yarn. Please, no need to apologize for creating items the way you do. To be honest, I wish I were more like you in putting things together; I often get too uptight about doing it and want it to be more perfect. And that just sucks the joy right out of the whole project! It becomes more of a job or more "work" when it's supposed to be fun, therapeutic and relaxing! You did a great job on the sewing part, too. I gave my machine away to a neighbor who was a refugee from Moldovia. She was a seamstress back there, didn't have a machine here and wanted to earn a little extra $ sewing items and selling them. I barely used the machine and knew she'd get a lot more use out of it than I was with it sitting closed up most of the time; I was right! Lol I will sew my lining in by hand and it will take no time at all! Thank you so much for this tutorial; I loved it and appreciate the time you took to film it for us. I just have to put the handles on mine, and I love how versatile this is because I was super lazy and didn't do a sc edge around the squares, I couldn't find the pedal for my sewing machine so I sorta thought mine would look a bit funny...but I found myself actually surprised. I could almost hear my sewing teacher back in high school and her strict instructions to use way too many pins which I did and holy canoli I love it! I joined my squares blo because I was worried about the lining being too big....it looks beautiful like yours does. Thanks so much I had so much fun xx
