I LOVE these hooks also! Before these, i loved the hooks from hobby lobby and now I'm like what hooks?! Now if i need a bigger hook, I'll go to them like 7 or so.

I so appreciate that you tell us when yarns irritate your hands or are right on the line that they might cause you problems. I have sensitive skin and I am either reactive to or full blown allergic to every animal fiber. Synthetic yarns can be hit or miss (a lot of miss) too, simply because my skin is so dry and easily irritated. Reactivity for any reason is super helpful for me to know. Your videos truly help me make informed decisions about what yarns I try. Thank you. ❤

Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this video. I am using the Premier gradient yarn for a scarf in sky tones. This is the softest yarn I have ever used! And it does have a very subtle sheen to it which I like. I had been wondering about the Lion Brand gradient as well. From your video I think I am sticking with the Premier gradient. And since watching and listening to this particular video, I will try more anti-pilling yarn of different brands for the softness of the yarn. Again, thank you.

Is the premier gradient similar to caron simply soft? As in the shiny part

Oh! I have been waiting for this review! Both are beautiful but i like premier better then even lion brand as a whole. I'm so glad you tried the dots hooks. I always wanted to get better hooks but the clover was out of my price range. When i saw the dots, I HAD to order them. Man, I'm glad i did, they are my favorite hooks. That's pretty much all i use anymore unless i need a 7mm or something! 😂

WELCOME HOME!! A huge 'thank you' for this head-to-head comparison of the 2 yarns! I think, for me, Id buy the Premier yarn before the Lion Brand yarn. I dont have skin issues so that doesnt enter into my choice. I like the colors, yardage, anti-pilling and lower price better. Both yarns are pretty but, for me, its an easy choice! BTW, I bought the crochet hook case like the 2 you have, the honeybee and avocado designs. I LOVE it! I dont have anywhere near the amount of hooks you do but its cool that they can be sorted by size and not just jumbled in a pouch or box type case. Thank you for the Happy Mail/review you did on the case!

You know you should take all the yarn out of your containers then take a picture of the yarn and then put the picture on the outside of that container. Then you’ll know what is in all of your containers! That is what I do.

Pretty, both are pretty. Still, I will stick with ❤️. ❤ is 482 yards, and more of the darker color., and $7.98, at Walmart. It will soften after washing. Always use a 5.5 or 6MM hook. You are rocking that hat! How can you wear a chain in the heat? I am impressed! I can’t handle necklaces in the summer. Pretty cross, Jennifer.

Good for you for blocking the negative Nancy. Ain’t got no time for that nonsense. Skin issues are for real. My daughter has Dermatographic urticaria (skin writing) and least scratch or irritation can cause her to look like she has huge hives. People relate to you because you’re relatable. Poop on the ones who’d rather complain. Premier my favorite value. And the new “gradient” is more like a true ombré and gorgeous. I’ve found premier just yarn at 1.25 tree. So premier is only online?? Mostly? I rarely use Lion brand anything because it’s never appealed to me much. You do you. ❤

This right here was the review I was waiting for from you!!! Ugh premiere is a true ombré yarn and I’m soooo here for it! I love mandala yarn especially for baby blankets and throw blankets but this gradient yarn from premier is definitely garment worthy and stunning. I’m going to wait for all the colors to be in stock so I can get a few of the ones that scream at me. I so want the red, purple, teal, sky, yellow, eggplant…. Let’s be real I want two of each hahaha! I’d use the mandala for a blanket but premier will be the yarn I’d make stuff that I wear on my skin. Happy 4th of July Jen and family stay safe
