Boingg Intro - Monome Norns App

The second video in my series looking at different music making applications for Norns is a personal favourite: Boingg. A quick intro of how it works for the curious! I am using the Linnstrument 128 as an alternative grid here, showing that you don't need a Monome Grid for this kind of thing to work.

Using the Linnstrument for this looks soooo fun!! The Nymphes sounds so freaking nice too, this was an ultimate set up for Boingg!! Looking forward to more script videos on the Norns!! 🙌🐀

So cool. As I mentioned in your other Norns video, I just ordered a Norn sheild (which are back in stock at Monome). And I'm looking forward to using it with my Linnstrument (and other kit I've got). Thanks!

Smart lil setup. The norns shield diy did interest me....but I think it would end up another distraction from the gear I already have (been neglecting the MPC).

1:23 do you have to do anything specific to get norns working with Linnstrument?

Yeah. You need to modify the scripts slightly. There's a bunch of documentation on the lines site about it. It is fairly simple. Check out midigrid. :)

@@EnjoySynths I've never owned a traditional varibright grid - always had a monobright, so can't comment there, but I haven't had any issues. It's not as nice as using a proper Grid mind :)
