Bojack is so realistic and well written as a narcissistic man. He calls his ex-girlfriend over, subtly mentions that two other friends ranked higher than her and just aren't available in the whole time the scheme is about his current girlfriend would probably would make it extra uncomfortable for pc. If you continually traumatize somebody it makes it harder for them to get out of your orbit 😊

@@strugglinglawl My opinion, if someone with NPD doesn't care about anyone but themself, then nobody cares about them either.
@marshmallowbiscuit4553
@marshmallowbiscuit4553 3 ай бұрын
@@lawl_4llie Doesn't change the fact that NPD is a disorder that one can't rid of themself and is engraved during early development due to abuse and neglect. I do agree that they should treat people respect. (Signed a person with NPD) Same thing of don't bully a bully, it just creates more bullies. If that makes sense. A narcissistic person doesn't get to have excuses, but there IS a reason for their behavior cognitively. It's not a "let's be an asshole just because" type of thing. It's a full on, albeit broken, defense mechanism. Also, the whole "not caring about anybody but themself" thing isn't always true with NPD. None of this is meant to come across as aggressive btw, I sometimes have trouble applying tone to text. This is all just meant to be informative. (also want to say I'm in no way defending Bojack's disgusting behavior lol)

God the way he treated Princess Carolyn was horrible she bent over backwards and jumped through flaming hoops for him and he did nothing but mistreat, gaslight and manipulate her love for him for daring to not revolve her life around him, the fact that she invited him to her wedding and stayed amicable with him is a miracle for Bojack considering what he did.
@Vicky-gi2st

At least she invited him to the fake/ show-off wedding and not the real, small and genuine one she had a week prior, it was a clear sign she doesn't view BoJack as a close friend anymore and honestly kudos to her for that

The ending of this series made some people mad but it was kinda perfect. All his friends cutting him out of his life because he was Horrifically toxic. But also it gives him another chance to be better - they just don't have to deal with him anymore.

And it makes sense for his character to wait 17 minutes so he can save his own ass. Remember: he knew Sarah Lynn was going sober for sake of getting better highs and was looking for an excuse. Something people often don't want to admit? Even if we care about people sometimes our selfishness out ways that care.

Well Diane was the only person who cut Bojack off really. Todd and PC clearly don’t want a relationship with him anymore but they don’t mind having him in their life as long as there’s boundaries.

Pb has closure and healing of his own too though. Pb states he is going for therapy, trying out being single and figuring himself out, and is also gonna room up with BJ, perhaps finally becoming truly friends. Maybe PB's gentle confident optimism and positive outlooks was the very influence and solution to Bojack's attitude all along, and he deliberately shunned that the whole series because he taught himself to close off his emotions. Pb is very honest and open with people and he can teach BJ to be honest and open in ways his toxic masculinity have trained him not to. They are both aging has beens, with a strong of failed romance, but PB lives fruitfully in spite of it all. He can resonate on certain levels with BJ's trauma and vices, even his unfortunate 'I might have considered sleeping Penny even though I knew it was wrong' angst. Because PB also knows about having the desire to keep youth forever and avoid mortality by engaging deep in parties and being with younger partners (even if none were as controversially young or uncomfortable as Penny or Sara Lynn.) They can both discuss and analyze these past demons and meanwhile stay presumably healthily in a place together because they do not worry about developing romantic feels(given they are both established as straight) or having opposite agendas, now that PB and BJ have no ties with Diane or rivalling shows on the air, or any opposing needs for attention/boundaries, such as Todd and Carolyn had. PB and BJ now live on an equal page, and BJ who has lost everything and near everyone, has still got someone who has his back and will remember and fondly admire his tv work for all time, it's why having the "cross over episode" always meant so MUCH to him. PB is the most overlooked person in BJ's inner circle who has gone above and beyond for him time and time again as much as all the rest and he still remains the only one just as devoted, despite all that BJ has done, including at the barest minimum in season 1 MAKING OUT WITH HIS FIANCEE.

Honestly, I was glad they did it. Diane took the longest to distance herself from him and paid the price by being deeply traumatized from his message when he relapsed and almost drowned. It's definitely not a happy ending, but a bittersweet one. It's sad that the friendships are done for good, but it's a realistic conclusion. Too much damage has been done at this point. There's no way that Bojack can start over with PC, Diane or Todd like everything is forgiven and forgotten. All he can do now is trying to find new friends and be a better person to them.

There's this Nordic creature called a Nokk. It's a white stallion that lures women and children to it and then when they touch it, their hands become stuck fast, and it drags them into the water and drowns them. Bojack resembles this creature more in behavior than appearance.

Princess Carolyn and Bojack are the definition of a toxic narcissistic abusive relationship even after they breakup he continued to belittle her and she let most if it slide because deep down she never stopped fully loving and caring about him. Like her face after the comment he made about her being a mom says it all 🥺 and she still tried to support him she deserves the best

I love how the show never really says anything about Sarah Lynn's stepfather beyond a couple throwaway lines about him being "weird" but the fandom took that and ran with it so hard that him abusing Sarah Lynn is basically canon now and the creators we just like "yeah, whatever floats your boat I guess"😂
