Taylor was extremely likeable in the beginning. At some point the writers decided to change her personality. She became very self-righteous and above reproach. They also changed Brooke's character as well. They made her focus solely on Ridge, sex and her destiny.

I love seeing Taylor from the beginning I can't wait to see more of her. My girl Steph she needs to let Eric go he is not worth it.

I’m not sure what the point was of writing Stephanie as a desperate wife obsessed with a man who proved OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN that he CLEARLY was just not into her anymore. It never made for even good love triangle writing, because Eric just didn’t want her anymore unless it was out of guilt or obligation of some sort, (like when Felicia was sick)….until he found someone he could once again be fulfilled with. I swear Stephanie’s mindset seemed straight out the 50’s. It was often so one sided that it made Stephanie look just plain sad and pitiful, especially when the actress aged kind of badly, yet they continued to write her obsessed with Eric, and him continuing to kick her in the gut. It was just tiring, even though I never liked Stephanie at all. She was a horrible manipulative human being whose obsession blinded her to reason. Never was that so obvious than when she set Brooke up to being raped, telling a stranger where to find the spare key to Brooke’s house. Why so many praised the character I will never understand. Stephanie was never a scorned wife. She was a wife who refused to accept the honesty that her husband never hesitated to give her, and she was no better than Brooke for different reasons….worse in some ways. Perhaps she saw a lot of her younger self in Brooke!! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Also Brooke can't win her competition for Ridge cuz Caroline can stand up to her, but she figures she can fight the older woman ( Stephanie) for her man( Eric) . Azoy! According to Saul. Before that she was on All my children where she was lst go. I think she was a blonde then. Funny she didn't want to have her hair lightened becuase she was a blonde before and later in few years she is a blonde again! Guess it all worked out in the end!

Didn't we have a similar dialogue in the past? When Brooke wanted Stephanie's respect and acceptance, didn't Stephanie tell Brooke she would only give Brooke that if Brooke would leave Ridge and be out of her life? Now Stephanie tells Brooke she would support her relationship with Ridge - and that Brooke has to give up Eric if she wants Stephanie's acceptance. I don't see Eric's plan working, as Stephanie would only "accept" Brooke if she is out of her life (and even when she thought that was the case, Stephanie couldn't stop thinking about and blaming Brooke).
