If you've walked on the Ocean City, New Jersey, boardwalk with a snack in hand, chances are a seagull or two tried to snatch away your food. An increase in complaints about bold gulls taking food - sometimes right out of people's mouths - has the Jersey Shore community warning visitors and residents not to feed the birds.

we always pissed on animals , wiping out mammoths and sabres only made us cocky bastards , we now lie in a sea of fast food of which we raid the oceans for which happens to be the seagulls source of food (fish) we act like spoiled brats because birds take our fast food that is only making us obese and harming the ecosystem , when for them it is a livelihood. I agree we are the weak ones but not because we can't hunt it is because we never considered how hunting and fishing effected other sentient beings and the planet we need to sustain ourselves on.

It depends of the area. There are too many seagulls in that area. I can tell seagulls in other areas such as Palo alto, mountain and the bay area are still pretty scare of people. They do eat garbage. They have to survive and if they are not finding fish, what can they do to survive?.

Just don't eat on the beach, and do you know were envading their space? That's why they are a protected species, and the amount of buildings around doesn't let them find natural food, so they steal ours. If you think about it, they're just trying to survive. Imagine if you were a seagull and all you saw is buildings and people. The people had food. I'm sure you'll try to steal it.

When you share a bit of your food with them they don't take it all. In this video, she was so clumsy that she would drop the food in a few seconds even without any seagull being there anyway. Btw humans stole high-quality food from seagulls and turned it into junk food...making us sick first all for profit. Very sad, so many people can't realise or see the facts.
