That looks like of a Japanese construction. My guess is that it was made by Chinon. Bolex manufactured cameras were entirely different in appearance.

It was actually made in Austria, by Eumig, for Bolex.

Hi! I have a similar camera, except it is not compact S, it just says compact. Do you know if any differences? also does it take cartridge A or B film? i dont know the difference 😭

S has a few differences, the addition of a single frame and some other little things. Use Type A. B is white sound and tink.
