Thank you as this video was very helpful, Just recently I brought this camera from an op-shop for $50 and wanted to see if everything was there. From what I've gotten from your video is that the battery cover is missing and the metal is a little corroded. I think some of it has broken or snaped off as half of the metal bump is missing on the positive side of the battery compartment, again thank you

I'm not sure I understand your question. the camera has an aperture ring and a shutter ring like any other ordinary camera.

Do I have to use SX-70 film? Also does it need batteries

Each film cartridge has a 6V battery in it and the camera is powered by it. So all you need is the film. When you load a cartridge, the camera should automatically power on, eject the darkslide and you'll be ready to shoot. SX70 film is recommended and the safest option. It works out of the box. 600 film will work aswell but it has a higher sensitivity to light so you'd have to buy one of those reusable ND filters that Polaroid sell and slide it onto the 600 cartridge before loading it into the camera to get the proper exposure.

The lens is fixed to the camera body, it cannot be removed.

Trouble is the mercury batteries are obsolete. The substitute 5.6 volt battery costs about $60. Ouch!

Film is still being made, try online film is SX-70 for this camera model.

No. Color or black and white depends on the film and not on the camera.

The fact is that in mine there is an inscription on the lens that says "achromatic lens" and I thought that that meant that certain cameras only took photos in black and white due to lens technology and others in color, but I have already found out that It depends on the film roll and not the camera. Bless for the vid, camera is dope for street photography or keeping on lowkey if you’re that kind of photographer. So small, so light, compact, hella quiet shutter. Honestly thought it wasn’t 35mm initially. Recommend shooting!

I just use this KODAK 50D Color if you shoot outside it's not bad to have a UV filter.
