Probably not, it's likely a transcreation which translators use regularly. Subtitles and translation work is normally outsourced to a third party agency and their translator just makes choices based on context and tone to provide an accurate and intelligible version of what's being said. Vice most likely didn't add the subtitles in house because it's not worth hiring a full time translator for one language unless they were producing content in that language every day or every week, and translation work is never handed to just one guy that happens to speak Spanish but isn't an actual professional translator. That's just how that whole world of translation and localization works.

@@davidcox8961 He's not behind the coup but he supports it. Tesla and other car companies aims to increase car production exponentially over the next decade, and for that they will need to secure alot more lithium than that mines currently being used. Having free market access to potentially the one of the worlds largest and cheapest to extract sources of lithium would be of big benefit to tesla and any company that does the mining, as opposed to the profits from extracting it going to the Bolivian people instead of multinational mining companies, it could also potentially mean higher prices if its nationalized and it reduces America's ability to control the resource geopolitically if its nationalized. I do not think his attempt to have a fourth term lead to the coup. They were set to nationalize the Lithium mines and also to process it. One company was in operation, the new coup government closed it down (and they also dismantled the only left wing radio station in the country). The plans for the other Lithium operations were put on halt. The revenue would have benefitted The People, so of course they put it on hold.

Fun fact, Bolivian Baptists led the first land reform movement in 1942 in the Huatajata region of La Paz. Land purchased with serfs living on it was divided up and redistributed to the resident families. This act was influential and following the 1952 Bolivian Revolution, a much larger land reform initiative was based off the Baptist model.

also, when he was in exile, he told his political party to not allow food and supplies to enter bolivia, and for his followers to start riots - all for this to cause chaos in his own country! evo said when I'm gone, this country better be suffering and in flames so they let me back in! That woman that the interviewer brought up as a critique of Evo Morales is a very good woman. She has Jewish blood but also has mostly indeginous blood. She disagrees with Evo on the grounds of him wanting to build up a strong centralized state. Whereas she wants more anarchist form of government. Something more green and sustainable. They are both great people for the left. But I admire her anarchist views and she is more of an idealist. In a perfect world she'd be elected. But Evo Morales is far better than the right wing.

@@themysterysith As soon as Luis Arce is out of office she will be freed from jail. Look at Carlos Mesa, he was overthrown and kicked out of the country by Evo Morales himself in 2005 and in 2019 he was running for President yet again and beat Evo Morales who then got caught rigging the elections.
