You are almost there mate!! As the compression is very good, I can hear the pinch at TDC.. there is only one thing possible.. it get not enough fuel mix come in to the combustion chamber for running.. Like I wrote.. maybe bad carter pressure,a leak some where.. but if that is OK.. the timing could have a issue.When exhaust open about 1/3 of the total opening.. then the transfer should start open Rodrigo. The intake opening should start open,as soon the exhaust closes,so it can build up under pressure.As soon the piston past TDC.. e few degrees after that, the intake should start closing again ,to build up carter pressure..If all that is OK..it should run! The carb assembly is OK I think.. can not be a big error. check spray bar / needle working with your mouth..if it works correct, but I am sure, that is fine..you know a lot by now...You WILL get it run ... very soon!! Wish me luck on the GZ 0.12!!! :- D

Hi! think that posting a homemade engine must have some kind of progress building, as there are a lot of ways for making one part, and having only some tools, is interesting the way can be done... i mean, i been learning a lot watching videos, sometimes i can do the same as the learned, sometimes i need to improve my steps... Hi Rodrigo, it seems that the propeller was not completing true rotations, it was just "rocking" clockwise/anticlockwise to and fro. The piston didn't cross over the TDC. Just my observation and I didn't know how to use better words to describe it :) try just using exhaust prime and an extra drop of oil and see if it helps?

Hello! Seems like you don’t know any about diesel engines, the starter is the worst thing you can use in a compression/ignition engine. The first time you start an diesel engine without knowing the compression/needle setting can take a long time. Once you found them, they start even faster than a glow, please go to my video list and see the other ball aero engine video, where I started very fast as I already know the settings. hello, I have an old MK-17 airplane engine and i can't start it up. I suspect it is the fuel mixture i use ( 1/3 ether from car starter, 1/3 petroleum, 1/3 castor oil) and i think the issue is with my source of ether. Where did you get Ether from? I used car starter spray and it is not good... Thank you and have a great day!

Hi! Do you have some kind of explosion? i get pure ether here in Mexico, but seems to be hard to find in some other places... as far as i know, john Deer engine starter is 99% ether...

@@colibriguitars yes, i do get some explosions, but only a few burrrps, no continuous ignisions. I have noticed yesterday after i wrote you the question that i am missing a gasket. Also, i have seen some other people using 50% ether (i think it was the same kind i use, from car starter spray). I'll retry starting it after putting the missing gasket and a different fuel mixture ratio. I live in Romania, Europe and it is very hard to find pure ether. Do you have any advice you can give me? Thank you so much for your reply!

@@alexandruscinteie7449 hi! well, i had trouble with mine at first... as i can remember, those engines came with 2 venturi inserts... with the one with bigger hole, the engine was very very hard to start, as it was not sucking fuel enough.. i replace the venturi insert for the small hole one, and a bigger prop (9x4) and started very easy... maybe you can try that...
