I have the original Bosch version. Plenty of of power in a third of the size of the 125 mm grinder. The next logical step up for me would be the 230 mm, not the 125 mm.

I started watching this whilst having having my evening meal, my three cats waiting for left overs gathered at my feet ( as purr), when you started cutting off the screws at the start, all 3 cats turned their heads and watched the screen intently. When you had finished that particular tool they all turned back again. I locked my tool box up and also my bedroom door when I went to bed. Worried that my cats have a plan.

ProTip: I bought one of them cheap skinny tubs from the Princess store, and I throw my Sawzall and all the blades I own in there. When I need any type of blade for a project I can never find the damn tub because my kids have dumped the contents out somewhere to take it and put sand in it. Where's daddy's Sawzall?!

The biggest problem I've had with the Hilti cut off wheel is; whenever I use mine on 23kv lines, it stalls out and needs to have the battery removed and reinstalled to start working again.

@@casemodder89 My guess is interference with the overcurrent circuitry. I've been working with Hilti to narrow it down and "fix" the issue. The hard part is; not every cut off wheel is affected.

@@southernlineman Holy smokes. I thought you were joking. But yeah, most electronics designers are not even thinking about that use case. Or testing for immunity against it. I am sure some fault detection circuit is malfunctioning. Most likely the high dV/dt from the power lines is causing a false fault detection. For example battery over-current or motor over-current. It could also be the magnetic field from the wires, but I think more likely it is the wild voltage swings.
