The plastic guard comes off - it nests over the metal one and is meant just to capture tile and concrete dust and the like (OSHA). Overall I’ve found it to be a pretty decent tool with realistic expectations. Use it to cut up the skeletons on my CNC plasma and it’s really handy for that - about to make a hanger for it to hang right on the table frame. Also used it with the guard/foot for guided cuts in sheet metal (like you would on plywood with a circ saw) and that worked pretty well also. I’d bet you might be able to adjust the cut depth also for when you just want to score the metal for bending maybe?
@justdastardly2 жыл бұрын
I've used this tool for a few years doing access control and low volt work. The small size and depth of cut is perfect for cutting an electric strike into a door frame (hollow metal or wood). The blades are tough to find, however Harbor freight has the perfect size abrasive cut off wheels.

Here we go, straight from the Google gods! Chintzy; "Something that's chintzy is tacky or cheap. A badly made pair of pants is chintzy, and a terribly acted, melodramatic movie is too. Things made of inferior materials are chintzy: "I like the neighborhood, but the house is so badly built, with really chintzy kitchen cabinets and closet doors." Another way to use this adjective is to mean "stingy," or "ungenerous." You might complain about your chintzy boss at work, who's known for giving workers five cent raises and not paying for overtime.
