Else why would they insist to allow wearing hijab at least during exams. I have studied in Christian school 20 years back and i had never seen my Muslim friends covered in a burqa hijab..they used to come to school with the same uniform as us..i am seeing this recent years that in my neighbourhood even a 5 year old wears a hijab..

Scarf and shawl are arab only? Because thats what hijab is. It can also be a long coat with a cap. It can be anything as long as it fulfills certain criteria. None of the school uniforms fulfill thise criteria for girls, but they do for boys .

When they say “choice”, let us see if they actually have the choice, it’s imposed upon by their elders and they are inadvertently forced into it. Do you say india is safest country. If you open a news channel you can see atleast one rape incident per day. You say uniformity. Uniformity not possible in certain thing in a multicultural country. One cannot say impose anything on others. Rules and laws are created for the goodwill of citizens only. So When there is a need we can amend those rules to allow multiculturalism thrive.

What about exam time? The invigilator should keep on checking whether there are Bluetooth earphones stuck on the ears behind Hijab or not. Why else would they demand to wear hijab during exam times.
