Secularism is not about being no religious, because unknowingly, we are promoting atheist, which again is a form of religion with no god but semions still intact, though no god mrsaanger sort of thing, but norms exist to follow without god. The interpretation being promoted is very narrow, as education is not just books but also about teaching andb social conditioning of child to the diverse dressing ( how many got offended with sikh being in turban or having long hair-no one) , food, gender based dressing as we say makeup normal for women but unnecessary for men. Somehow, we have been so indoctrinated by english culture, when all are Christian there but we are killing our divorce culture by this one size fits all interpretation, ending up our children's calling our indian culture backward but western advance instead of being patriotic to our indigenous one. Does delhi university, where no such thing existed or open school students suffered, don't think so. Further, if school are about books only, why we celebrate different religion festivals in schools, we can say, this is not the place.
