Trump apparently doesn't like that. To go further Meghan Rapinoe, in early 2019, said that they wouldn't be invited to the White House, and wouldn't go, ahead of the Women's World Cup in France that year. Trump ignored this until the middle of the tournament, then said Rapinoe should win before she talked, and the Women's team would be invited win or lose. They won, she talked, she got the Golden Boot (Equivalent to an MVP award), and still said they wouldn't go. Why this is still coming up? I have no idea.
